Theres a vid out there from the public beta and it looks 100% exactly like WoW and this close to release it aint gonna change that much (especially if its like this after what, 5 years development?). The only thing theyve added is some really long boring conversations, similar to ME2 but completely redundant and not something that you wanna sit and listen to every time youre sent out to hunt 30 droids.

I really hate when people always have to compare an MMO to WoW. What is so wrong about a game being similar to WoW? It is picking a gameplay style that works so well and incorporating their own twist to it. companies are not going to spend millions of dollars and 5 years of their valuable time creating a experimental project that may completely destroy their business.
people are so anal about "originality" these days but they don't even know what original is. WoW didn't create the MMO world, it just made great use of it and set the standards of how MMO's should play. all bioware is doing is improving on that formula, so why is that such a bad thing?
Mustacio, i have no problem if companies want to make a clone of WOW, i play rift atm and know where it stands. The problem is bioware and EA were singing from the rooftops that this was nothing like wow, that it was a whole new take on the genre like nothing else, yet it turns out lo be WOW with nothing but a star wars skin. I see no improvement in there, i see the general gameplay is 100% identical to WOW and other MMO's. The ONLY thing theyve done is shoehorn in long cutscenes where you can select the odd dialogue option and it seems to make little difference to 90% of the conversation anyway and ends up being either light path or dark path, hardly anything original with that (factions have existed forever in MMO's). Esentially all theyve done is replace the massive lines of text when taking quests with non skippable cutscenes.
Also, you can't beat WOW by being a copy of WOW, it's the same thing with the COD clones, that is NOT the way to be successful in the MMO market. You need to be creative, you need to be unique, especially since there have been a million WOW clones over the years of varying quality that have ALL failed.
