Marvel's Avengers will be officially released very soon now so Square-Enix and Crystal Dynamics are giving everyone a chance to try the game on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The content of the beta is pretty generous so the best way to find out if this title is for you is to give it a go. Unsurprisingly, it won't win any awards when it comes to the visuals, even aside from the generic character models. Performance on PC is really terrible in 4K with an RTX 2080 Ti but the drops are almost non existent in 1440p. We're not sure if things have improved since the closed beta, but it's likely PC players won't be too happy with the port as it stands now. As for gameplay itself, it can be fun despite the messy combats and the impression that traversal sometimes is on autopilot. It's hard to know if the combat system will make it interesting enough to make people want to keep playing for the months to come, we have reasonable doubts about that, but we'll see when the final product ships in early September.

Every common goon one third his size stuns and interrupts his attacks with melee punches, also he dies in like 2-3 hits from said little goons on hardest difficulty. Meanwhile Hulk's wrecking balls of hands have to hit them 8-15 times, that's supposedly average humans in armor. Nuff said.
Boring, uninspired game that owes most of its attention to the Avengers brand.
