Video Xbox 360

Xbox 360 players had been waiting for a Forza Motorsport 3 demo for a while and it arrived on Xbox Live this morning. As usual, we will show you a bunch of videos we captured using the Microsoft wheel. Let's start with a replay of the Porsche 911 GT3-RSR. More videos will come later today if you are nice.
Update3: Third video added: hood view and 60 fps. you might notice a few problems with the capture for the reasons I talked about yesterday. Sorry about that.

simply wonderful, cannot wait to get my hands on that demo ... one of the most beautiful racers I've seen to date. Has that "looking at a Model3-game, when you only have a Saturn at home"-feeling all over for me ;))

Actually those pics look like ass. But everyone is saying the actual demo looks a million times better (no AA and detailed textures etc) so I still have my hopes up. But considering how much I loved Forza 2 even though it was ugly I'm sure I'm gonna give this game a crazy amount of time in my system.

Yeah, You'd think devs would be able to develop some kind of realistic deformation tech by now. I mean, these systems are well capable of it. In fact, GTA 4 had more realistic damage on the cars.

Has nothing to do with damage technology and everything to do with licensing issues. Case in point all of the cars in GTA 4 are fake.....

These pictures look crap compared to the game in motion on screen.

I still love how the Forza 3 article is being down voted to all the way and the GT5 is being up voted all the way, fanboys unite!

They're still allowed to go further than this. Anything up to the drivers safety zone can be damaged and torn apart, doesn't look like Forza 3 even takes it that far from what I've seen.

It would be too taxing and ultimately a waste of resources. Better use those cycles on useful physics calculations, and internal damage on simulation settings seems to be simulated properly.

They seem to have toned down the realism of the cars physics.?!? You used to be able to control power oversteer with delicate balance of the throttle and steering. Now, you have to handbrake it into a slide, then the tiniest bit of counter steer puts the car straight again. (this is with ALL assists off)

Sorry Nietzsche but the game doesnt look better in motion. In fact it doesnt look good at all. I dont really care about car games but just out of curiosity I downloaded the demo and it looks ugly. I think Shift looks much much better. The cockpit view is just awful

the cars are much more detailed in the presentation menu than in real ingame. especially the headlights are very bad when you look at the replay (in the demo not on this vids)

how about some accusal gameplay video, if there is a dashboard view I would like to see it and compare against GT5? not really too exited to see a replay video.

GT rendering is way better, Forza 3 cars look like made out of plastic, but I guess the detail of damage makes it up, considering in GT not all cars will have damage.

Demo looks good, way better than forza2 for sure, however as far as the cars go it's still a ways away from gt5. Things that stick out are the rear lights and lighting in general. The feel of The game is great and I can't wait to pick this up on the 27.

Real cars are made out of plastic and fiberglass last i checked. Also the demo was smooth as hell and a joy to play with my racing wheel. And it looks great graphically.

Game looks awesome, theres loads of details.. car models are great.. and the reflections are very impressive - pretty much every racing game this gen offers a huge downgrade to the image in the rear mirror..this does not. All running silky smooth.

Theres are a couple of strange omissions though.. the cockpit view lacks the standard helmet cam that allows you to look around freely. Every racing game since PGR3 has offered this, so why not a sim like Forza? especially when they made a big deal of modeling the inside of all 400 cars.
Theres also no gear stick animations when racing a manual...again this is sim right?
