Video Xbox 360

It's clearly a first, but here comes the Forza Motorsport 3 Ferrari 458 Italia trailer (and images), just a few minutes after the one for Gran Turismo 5. I guess the fanboys will love to use them as ammunitions against whatever game isn't on their favorite platforms, but these will not be welcome here as usual.

Really difficult to tell between the two. If there is a big difference or gulf in graphics, I'd like someone to point out to me exactly where it is. As for FM3's environments - second to none. They are astounding.

I think PD have the material shaders down a little better than Turn 10. The gap is minimal now though, it just comes down to # of cars on track vs. AI & physics for how they use the available power.

Probably correct there, but it's really a nitty-gritty pedantic argument of which I see little point in disgusing. Really, that's where it just turns into a silly fanboy debate with some people, but there is no getting away from the fact that the game looks stunning and for anyone to say otherwise is just a little bit too blindsided. To achieve this in 2 years is commendable, especially when compared to FM2, which looks terrible.

GT5 Cars look miles and I mean Miles better than Forza 3, Forza 3 car models are to plasticy but from what I've seen from Forza 3's environments, they are miles and I mean miles better than the few I've seen from prologue whether GT5 has equally impressive surroundings is a question only time can answer but right now from what we know, it's a complete stalemate graphcally, forza for environments and GT for vehicle models, maybe if I'm being honest forza edges because I love cokpit view and that is all about environments.

The GT vid was actually in-game? If it was, then consider me blown away.

I can admit that the GT video was more impressive to look at, and I also felt the music choice was better, but I'm much more excited for Forza 3 until I see more of what GT will be offering.

This trailer was awesome but I think the GT5 Trailer was better, better angles and better music. However FM3 trailer is 100% in game but GT5 Trailer isnt.

as far as car models and shaders go, GT5 is the better looking game. forza however has the better looking (albiet less realistic) tracks, its a shame turn 10 blur the crap out of themin the screenshots tbh

Because I don't think it looks as good as GT5's IMO, I made that clear in my post. If you don't like people rating stuff low, why include it as an option?

The problem is not with rating stuff, it's having you say you'll buy a game you think is worth a 1* rate. That's a bit odd. Unless you think the GT5 news is worth 2* that is.

GT5 was inengine with post effects and AA, not in game. This doesn't bear repeating any longer - we KNOW what the replays look like and the gameplay already!

It was fairly obvious why he did what he did. He didn't really mean what he was saying, but hoped to be able to hide behind a fairly reasonable looking statement so his true intentions would be difficult to ascertain.

Until of course Blim points out that he rated the news a 1*, which pretty much greatly contradicts his previously reasonable looking stance. The 1 rating is what he really thinks about the Xbox's premier racing title, extra emphasis on 'Xbox"

The GT5 video is much better done, and the car model does look slightly better.

However, one will have damage, and one wont. The differences aren't huge, so it's hardly a deal breaker. If GT5 also makes it to release this year, it's a fantastic year for us racing fans!

its almost as if they want us to compare them. Well though graphically they look pretty well matched in one another, GT5's reveal of the F458 comes out on top...for the simple fact that it looks like the cars not even gonna be in the forza game when it ships.

Available for download this holiday it says at the end - as usual microsoft charging us extra for something sony offers out of the box.

Miles better? I wouldn't go that far. As far as models go, I fail to see how anyone can fault the ones in this game. I dare anyone to pick a polygone edge anywhere on these cars that really stand out.
