They were very sneaky about that whole Miles Morales and Horizon 2 being PS4 games. Why be upfront about Sackboy being a PS4 game back in June but not those 2 other games? I get it, I know what they were doing but its still very very underhanded on their part.

I don't think so. From what I remember, this only became known yesterday, firstly through one of Geoff Keighley's tweets. Was it assumed by a lot of people? Yes, me included. But it wasn't officially confirmed until yesterday. I just did a quick Google search for "Spider-Man Miles Morales PS4" and all the news point to only being confirmed yesterday.


Besides many of Sony's lies and deceits, another issue is the very high price increase of Sony's 1st-party games in many regions. In Europe it's basically U$ 95, when people in the US would pay only $70. While here in Brazil, the price increase went from R$ 200-250 to R$ 350, a 40-50% increase.

Also, the DualSense controller is R$ 500 here, while the DualShock 4 controller is R$ 250, so they're charging double the price. Which I might understand if that was the case everywhere, as that would mean that Sony had a very significant increase in building the new DualSense controller.

However, the DualSense is U$ 70, while the DualShock 4 is U$ 60 in the US. That's a ~16.5% increase in the US, while in my country it's a 100% increase. I know, it suck to be me, it sucks to be in Brazil, whatever. My point is that while Americans will pay only ~16.5% increase, we will have to pay 100% for no reason.

And no, neither taxes nor other stuff matters in this comparison, because whatever gets applied to the DualSense's price here, also got applied to the DualShock 4's price in here as well. Companies have a history of charging more from us, because fucks us, we're worth less than other Human beings, I guess.

The same bullshit also applies to the PlayStation 5's prices here, while RTX 3070 (U$ 499) is R$ 3999, while the PS5 (U$499) is R$ 4999! A R$ 1000 difference. Even the PS5 Discless version didn't escape, because if you notice, the PS5 with disc drive was basically multiplied by 10x, while the PS5 Discless version was multiplied by ~11.25, from U$ 399 to R$ 4500.

The prices were already higher than they should have been, many experts were expecting them to come around R$ 3500 to R$ 4000 at the most for the U$ 499 version - like it happened with the RTX 3070. But not only did Sony increase that price even further, they even increased the price of the U$ 399 version even more. Which is why a lot of people all over the place are complaining.

Anyway, I hope this doesn't sound like I'm bitter or anything, I actually was very tempted to buy PS5 with disc, in fact I even reached the "finish order" on Amazon, but the more I kept thinking the more I started to feel like I would seriously regret buying at this price, so I went and cancelled.

I decided to buy a new CPU/GPU on Black Friday and get a PS5 in 2/3 years, Demon's Souls Remake will have to wait, thing is by then chances are that it will have come out on PC. Either way, I will play DeSR on either PC or PS5 by then.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Horizon 2: Forbidden West, I will play on PS4. Only God of War: Ragnarok will be tricky, but I can wait. So no need to buy a PS5 right at launch. In 2-3 years' time, PS5 will probably have received its first discount, either officially or by retailers - specially on Black Friday. Patience is a virtue after all.

£450 for a console with such a weak launch line-up? No thanks.

To be fair launch line-up is much better than what we had on PS4 - Miles Morales and Demon's Souls alone will make a lot of people buying this console at launch. And that comes from someone who doesn't really like Spider-man.

Biggest bummer is price increase of games, which will push more people in smaller countries buying used copies. Literally i see all Sony exclusives 35-40% cheaper few weeks after launch.

Demon Souls look great for a launch title. Can't wait to see what games look like in 5 years time!
