If their is one thing this game is going to do brilliantly, it's going to be the feeling of freedom as you're sliding down the edge of this mountain 60mph+ with the end inching closer and closer. But tbf theirs that and the fact I know it feels and controls fluidly and fantastically everything atm is shaping this game up to be a true gem, so much so I'm almost willing to forgive the lack of fireworks. Tbf though I played SSX 3 the same night I played this and the city is only like one area as cool as it is, pinball machine I only remember in tricky which i admit was fantastic ^_^ but this is it's own game own style probably a whole new team with a whole new vision and so far that vision is just awsome.

Kornboy, you need to go back and play SSX 3, they already went away from mass cities and pinball machines in that game bar a couple of parts of a mountain yet people regard it as the epitome of the series. Sure I only really played the first and tricky alot when I was a kid and I loved the whackiness but SSX 3 is still a ton of fun and feels like SSX, and this defo feels closer to SSX 3.

It doesnt even look like SSX3 imo. More like on tour if anything and that was shite for the same reasons. Need a demo, and it NEEDS split screen, otherwise it doesnt matter.

So basically you miss the fireworks and the coloured snow. Yeah, that makes a huge difference to how a game plays. It's all important.

yes ssx on tour was pretty shit, i thought that was it for ssx, but it seems they're back in the good direction continuing where the magnificent ssx3 left it

Atmosphere means a lot, yes. And no, it's more then just fireworks and coloured snow. Its the very design of the tracks. Now it's just snow, snow, and more snow, oh, and a bit of rock too....BORING!

Mountain levels in SSX3 >>>>

Outside of long grinds, there wasn't anything better about the trick park courses.
