Early 2013.

360 version is pretty good and runs with 60fps. I'll stick with that. :)

Oh.. that's awesome.

I'm a little wary of XBLA at the moment. That's very cool.

Trials post-HD is shit without good friendslist to challange you. so if you have a mediocre steam friendlist or they just are strangers on Steam, your aperciation for the potential of trials addiction will be somewhat degraded. my 2 cents.

Nah.. it's just getting towards the end of the 360's life cycle and I'm thinking about the future. I'd rather get it on a platform I know I'll still be using in a few years if I can.

I still think XBLA is awesome. I just want to know more about Microsoft's plans going forward before I purchase too many things on it this late in the cycle.

I sensed I would get a bit bored of this so didn't get it. It's an excellent package obviously and it can last as long as you want it to, but like most games these days, the appeal for me just isn't there any more like it used to be. The nature of what games are and it's limit that is to play essentially the same mechanics makes we question if I care any more

^ It's rare to hear something like this for Trials EVO. Almost everyone absolutely loves this game. It's really addicting and there is much more content than todays retail games.

My problem is something I've started to notice about why I don't like one particular aspect of certain games. When I play a game that involves performing better and better each time, I realise that's all I'm doing- trial and error and so of course it stands to reason that more time spent learning anything means an improvement to how you do it . With this in mind the feeling of accomplishment for me at least is starting to feel rather less than it ever did previously. It seems an odd statement to make but I predict people will eventually get similarly bored. I'm not slagging though as the game is obviously great at what it does

Dynamic gameplay is something else thankfully

Understandable. I don't expect xbox720 to be backward compatible for normal releases but if they don't include some sort of file transfer system for everyone's arcade titles I think it would be a huge fuck up on Microsoft's end.

errr... there isn't a huge diference between a retail game and a xbla game, both are Xbox 360 games. Both are made to run on X360 HW. If BC isn't done, it will be for both... the new console will have a dvd/blu-ray drive to read retail games.

I used to worry about if the next xbox would be compatible but I expect the hardware in MS's new machine to be based on what's there already to allow this. I expect MS will then at some point put some charge on playing disc games by way of downloading software to allow this or maybe they will just rely on xbox demand

And then there's arcade etc that frankly makes MS too much money for them not to carry the whole thing across and there is no way MS wont do this. It will be the same for next gen after that too because there is just too much for them to lose in not doing it at that stage

Xbox has to be fully compatible otherwise that would be one spectacular balls up

That's making far too many assumptions for me.

There's absolutely no guarantee of this if Microsoft doesn't say it.
