Very impressive graphics. Oh, someone noticed the epic skyboxes? :D

Sound effects are also good. Only one tiiiiiiiiny "meh": the shotty sounds lame :( (should be more like this here http://youtu.be/IwC85njIE0k ).

This graphics for this game looks insanely good and really i don't think anyone can dispute that. Texture quality is only one area you could pick at but considering just how good it actually looks like as one entire scene+ running at 60 frames, that's very easily forgiven

I'm even less on the fence with this one

Thats not a regular shotgun though and in Rage will be a more badass double barrel shotgun if you want a more meaty one.

I tought it sounded great.

What's interesting i find with videos they've shown, it's clear this is a real work of love. One that's also not rushed. This could end up surprising a lot of people- myself included

The background art is stunningly detailed, I'll give it that.

But man, weapon variety where is it? Are they hiding 10 other crazy weapons, cause I'm snoozing here with what's shown.

Love these videos. It's just the sort of world you want to get lost in and explore when playing an FPS. None of this point (A) shoot a load of things, to point (B) cut scene, level ends. It looks like you can take stuff in at your own leisure, which I'm sure is what id want seeing that they put so much time into the detail. Imagine this tech being used to recreate the first 3 Star Wars films, where places like Mos Eisley get recreated detail for detail. You can now see that being possible through this game.

The other highly impressive thing about this game is in the enemy reactions and animations. They seem highly fluid and dynamic.

I think they did say that there will be a lot of customisation with the weapons. It would be nice if something was created so that you could create your own weapons. That would be a massive undertaking, but it would be something different to the genre, and no, I don't mean simply adding bolt on's to the gun a la Bioshock.

If you could make your own weapons, then this is the first thing I would make.

This game is a 'case in point' of the importance of game ART not just graphics power.

Preordered and waiting.

Best looking game this gen, and I doubt anything will look better until Xbox 3 and PS4 come along. Simply a perfect blend of the best tech with the best artists. Outstanding.

Hopefully the game will live up to the promise of the visuals.

yes absolutely. John Cormack gave a brilliant keynote(it's on youtube) on why they chose this tech and he's also open about it's short comings (low-res textures and pop-in).

Whoa, this game looks much better than i remember. Haven't watched any videos for months and looks like they have bumped up the graphics a lot.
And if RAGE runs with solid 60fps on my 360 - holy shit. :0
