i really fail to understand why this has to be Lego style... if this would be done with the characters they really are, i might even be interested in. same with Indiana Jones, so many ppl waiting for a proper Indy game and then when finally one comes out, it's done with Lego....
Lego is all part of the charm, and adds in some very cool gameplay mechanics. When it comes down to it, they are childrens games and they are very simple to play through, but I think that's what makes them great. They're just a lot of fun to play, at least on co-op. I don't think I'd touch these games at all, if I didn't have someone to play through them with.
I can also see this game being critisised for being the fourth game to rehash the same engine and same basic gameplay. This is just Lego Star Wars again, but with Batman characters.
I'd love to see them make more, Lego Harry Potter or a Clone Wars game could easily work, but they're going to have to shake things up for them. Get a new engine, perhaps make it more of a free roaming style, where you're free to construct your own vehicles and so forth.
yey, more shallow crap gameplay....lego had an initial quirky appeal with the first starwars games...but now you just see the crap game that it really is. yes its a kids game, but i can imagine even a young child finding this quit offensive to their intelligence.
if they'r gonna do something with lego, change things up a bit. i've had enough of playing the same game with different skins.
