Xbox 360 PS3

Codemasters today released Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust on PS3, X360 and PC, for a price of ~€20. A big bunch of images and videos were released, available inside.

Codemasters press release:
The lovable and always lecherous Larry is back in his latest, innuendo-filled adventure as Leisure Suit Larry®: Box Office Bust™ launches into stores today* for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® and PC with a S.R.P. of £19.99 on the Funsta label.

Marking a return of the trademark humour that has brought joy (and sniggers) to millions of teenagers for over two decades, Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust brings the series to current gen consoles and PC. Gamers looking for a bit of titillation can keep abreast of Larry’s latest exploits by watching the gameplay and CG launch trailers at www.leisuresuitlarrygame.com.

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust sees players take control of the misguided Larry Lovage as he spends his vacation working at his uncle’s film studio. Excited at the hope of picking out his perfect lady from Tinsletown’s most endowed, Larry soon uncovers a plot from a rival studio that threatens his uncle’s latest movie success; now it’s up to Larry to save the day (as long as he can concentrate on the right assets for long enough).

Developed by Team17 and laden with illustrious voice talent from Hollywood’s glamorous glitterati, players will meet and interact with outrageous characters like Ginger Vitus (Carmen Electra: Starsky & Hutch) and Hugh Jassdick (Tom Arnold: True Lies, ER, Roseanne) as they tackle exploration, platforming, racing, puzzle-solving and seduction challenges to get the girls and save the studio.

Additional voice talent in Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust includes an all-star cast of actors and actresses, including Jay Mohr (Last Comic Standing), Dave Attell (Insomniac), Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie), Artie Lange (Mad TV), Patrick Warburton (Family Guy), Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), Nikki Cox (Las Vegas), Peter Graves (Mission Impossible), Jane Lynch (The 40 Year Old Virgin) and Josh Keaton (The Spectacular Spider-Man) as the voice of Larry Lovage.

Join Larry on the studio tour that Hollywood never wanted people to see as Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust launches for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® and PC today*, with a PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system version to follow. Check out the gameplay and CG launch trailers online now at www.leisuresuitlarrygame.com.

This franchise needs a miracle if they ever want me to pick it up again. It needs Al Lowe.

Looks like a PC game from about 10 years ago. Crude texturing, ugly normal mapping, no ambient occlusion, primative shadowing, overly compressed low res texturing, and a general lack of any cohesive or atractive art direction.

Please try harder.

No nudity in this one... I guess they're scared of an AO rating?

I played one of them once. It was funny seeing computer-generated boobs for the firs time. Then I got bored.

The way his pants already stretch at the crotch I can't imagine he has room for an erection.

So it seems like the game will be devoid of humor, no tits since that would never fly and gameplay will probably be pretty lame...on top of that it looks pretty bad technically. Awesomesauce, i have to get this one right away :P

I've only derived one, powerful notion from Larry games; disappointment. I played these things in my sexual awakening/exploration prime and basically learnt english to see some smuttyness. The first Larry was pixelated to the point where you could just aswell go into mspaint and use the orange brush some to the same effect (or deluxe paint as it were) and as they became more... distinguishable they turned everything into disneyland with tits.

At this point I'm not exactly sure what the franchise has to offer anymore. It was never funny, just risque, and risque is so passé. Merde! :)

The first games was funny but the later ones sure dropped the ball. Magna Cum Laude was just terrible in every way and i doubt this game will be much better. Larry was never as good as the old classics though, police quest, monkey island and the likes will always bring more fond memories, but Larry was great too :)
