PS3

DjMizuhara almost miraculously managed to fix his PS3 right on time for the release of Afrika, and sent us this first video with more to come. The game still doesn't seem to be planned for a release outside Asia.
Update: Second video added, with a tad more "action" this time.

you should definitely get a trophy for making it through the intro without falling asleep and another one for even bothering to actually play it.

This is honestly one of the most boring games I have ever seen.

Lol, well...I had gathered that much. But, I figured there must be more to this game than just that?! Sadly, it seems that's all there is. This game looks boring as hell indeed. Graphics are very nice though!

I like how he got attacked by a hippo at the end. The graphics looked really nice when it was evening at the latter part of the video also.

Could have made the video a little better, it was like he was doing something else while capturing the footage. Not knowing the camera is out of pictures? Sitting still for 30 seconds for no reason?

Anyways, I'd like to know if the game is free roaming, it was hard to tell in the video. Can you control the vehicle or is it always driven for you? Are there invisible walls when you drive/walk around?

So the idea here is something close to "Pokemon Snap". I could see that work but judging from the little I have seen here I got some reservations about this title.

Some very basic to cheap effects have been implemented here. Not impressed with some of the animation, water and heatwave simulation. But I do like the Sound Theme!

That Wii ocean game is pretty good.

Not every game has to be aggressive macho marines chugging beer and shooting eachother whilst screaming inanities at the top of their faces through a silvery environment populated by generic trollbeasts. Or stealthy almost-naked old guys hugging statues and reading porn.

:P

I for one welcome our new zebra masters.

its a weird one thats for sure, but its something i'd like to check out since its different from the norm. its seems like one of those games you can just chillax to on a sunday when you've got a hang over. it could be one of the most refreshing experiences for a long time, or it could be, as some have already said, pretty boring. from the looks of things it just looks like a simple, relaxing game. and there seems to be a lack of that in gaming so im all for it. it doesnt look too import friendly however, so hopefully there will be a UK or at least a US release.

some people dont play games to shot people in the head, kill everything you see.
there are alot of people who enjoy photography, alot of them from japan. so thi will sell well overthere.
people who say boring you need patients for photography. so will be slow.
get over it

I can see this being fun, this being just the first mission and all... maybe you will get to drive that jeep around a bit, get upgrades like new clothes (gillie suit yay!) a better camera, flashlight for night time exploring, etc....

graphics are amazing in most parts, the interactions with water like legs moving in it look crap,i know giraffes run gay,but they look abit odder than should,

definatly the most boring game ever made,i think i will l gladly say this is a game that dont bother me if it stays in the land of rising sun, they can keep it,i cant believe i left my spare room with paint drying on walls to watch this, would of had a better 8 mins in there lol

i dont wanna burst your bubble, but africa doesnt have guys with machine guns, gliders laying around and grass fires every 3 minutes (far cry 2)...it is a peacefull place. and this game represents that. whether you want to define a peacefull place as "boring" then thats your problem.

the animatuion for the anaimals is pretty damn stunning tho, something i forgot to mention in my initial comment.
