It's been quite a long time since our last first 10 minutes, and since a story heavy game like Heavenly Sword is most appropriate for these videos I bought the game on saturday. 2 more videos will follow during the week, along with my impressions.
Update: Second part is online, with a lot of not so precise Sixaxis gameplay.
Update3: Third and last part available.

looks pwetty :D
the first 10 minutes is great!
making a welcome return
heavenly sword...hmm
i had one eye brow raised through most of it
not sure if i like it or not
i skipped the cut scenes they were kinda cheesey and cliche'
graphics were impressive though, so thats good
but it dosnt look very fun to play, kinda repetetive?
its the sort of game that if you said 'hey, would you like to have a go now?'
id be like, 'naa, im fine just waching thanks'
Its not a game to play again and again all the time, but it sure is a good game to have in your PS3 library.
Looks great, sounds great, plays cool.
I would give it a 8/10.
The two missing points would be because it felt I was doing the same over and over but a bit more variety in how I would do it.
but it was a very good experience for sure.
The chara design is so absolutely amazing!!
Hope it won't dissapoint me ^^
I plan to buy this game with my Ps3 this winter. I know it is flawed, but I'm sure it'll be a great experience nontheless
An amazing game and highly regarded. Show what next gen / current gen can do.
But seriously, this game seems to be nice, but doesn't do justice to all the hype.

Heavenly Sword looks great - the first scene is the first hint of the power of the cell I've seen in a completed game. So many characters on the screen at once.
The reviews for this are quite spread - seems nice but short-lived and not up to the playability level of God of War etc.
but it`s just another buttonmasher like 99nights. seems to get boring pretty fast.
as usual it can`t justify the insane hype sony made about it, but it seems to be at least a "solid" game.
Like I am a veteran from Ninja Gaiden games, both NG Black and NG Sigma, and this game took me around 8 hours to complete.
but you gotta take in consideration that I was also checking out the scope of the environment and taking my time to lekarn the combos...etc.
So yeah it is around 8 hours.
But Hell Mode is a bit tougher, depends on how much you can do combos and how much you remember them.
I am actually gonna play it today, well maybe, if Warhawk will let me :)
However...Didn't Mass Effect appeal to you? :(
That is the only game that makes me keep the 360, and the thing is that its a trilogy so I have to keep it longer.
If it wasent a trilogy I could sell my 360 and then earn some money.
How about Halo 3?Not a fan of it huh?
Well atleast if you like FPS, I hope you enjoy Killzone 2, because that game looks mighty intense!
Anyway, glad you bought the console you liked.
About Heavenly Sword, yeah it felt like ainteractive movie for sure, that Kai was really something huh.
Kai: Hhhheellloooo
Port keeper: Whats the password?
Kai: Monkey-peaches!
Hahaha I absolutely love the entire conversation on that scene, so great perfomance.
I see that all the "blockbuster" games that PS3 hype and all they have quality!
I mean in terms of how much effort in the actors, music...etc. production value.
You didn't need to insult you know, but the rest was very good and valid, strong points from a personal opinion.
Edit that out and then you seem like a nice person that had a appearently, great time with a great game. ;)
Halo 3 and Mass Effect- games like this are the reason I play games! BIG, EPIC stuff.
The plain truth is there will be works of art on both systems. I just went with the PS3 because I believe it is more tech-savvy, has more features and abilities and capabilities, and has the adventure and fantasy games I play games for (like Heavenly Sword, the ICO sequels on the way, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, etc.)

Now to the quote :P
Yeah the 360 have alot of awesome games for sure (although im a sucker for Killzone and not Halo).
Games like BioShock, Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden 2, Too Human...etc. these are like big titles indeed.
But 360 is something you kind trust on when it comes to hardware. Mine broke down (red lights) but got a new one, hopefully nothing will happen until November when I get Assassins Creed and Mass Effect.
But in terms of hardware, for sure, PS3 shines MUCH more. So many abilities it can do that 360 cant.
Copy music, pictures, files and save them to your PS3 hardrive from any source...amazing.
The only thing that it is missing is background in-game music that 360 has that the Ps3 don't.
Like Warhawk gets boring if I don't put some orchestral music (my only favorite genre in music).
But I know Sony will put that in, hopefully soon for all game :).
PS3 seems to have alot of variety in games, from 3rd person action to FPS to racing to RPG.
Like I ALWAYS wanted to play God of War games, so I purchased God of War 2 just because I wanted to play it for a long time and wanted to know the story before the third one.
So games like these and Uncharted...etc. are awesome.
I don't believe "best system ever" because both have positive and negative features for sure. Both are amazing strong beast machines, and I can't wait for like 1-3 years from now when devs can easily manipulate the machines to get the best out of them.
The only games I am going to buy for 360 this year is Mass Effect and Assassins Creed.
Devil May cry 4 is still uncertain, considering which version has better controls and all. (achivements doesnt mean shit to me).
And when a game is multiplatform and it got online...I go with the PS3 considering its free, and I save money for not paying for online.
Anyway long story short...you made a right decision to go with the console you wanted in the way you wanted for the games, because overall that is what it is for.
If the games you want is in that certain platform, just get it, don't let anyone else say otherwise. Its your money your personal life.
PS. One thing that is bad about PS3 is the online content. 360 keeps getting new demos and videos much quicker and better than the Ps3 gets, thats a shame.
i would say review scores would beg to differ......you taded in your 360 just for heavenly sword ? a game that can be compleated in 6 hrs and got an average score of 6 outa 10.......*shakes head in total dissbelief !*
He wasent satistfied with 360, who are we to say he made a bad decision.
Why have a console he don't like the games are being made for it, when he made his decision of selling it and got a console that he likes the games on that one.
I agree games like God of War, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank...etc. these type of platforming action/adventure games are pretty much famous on the Ps3, and if you read his comment, that is his favorite genre.
Gears of War got boring too quickly, and the online was just about shotguns and chainsaws and melee with a grenade.
Condemned was cool, but it didn't last long enough. Good first next-gen experience but nothing more.
F2 - I hate racing games (and sports and puzzles).
Halo 3 - its Microsofts weapon, and it is out and fans can enjoy, and there wont be any more hype after couple of weeks. The hype will decrease because people who waited for it, have it and are playing online.
Dead Rising/Lost Planet - Well I owned Lost Planet, very cool game, but the online was unbalanced and got a bit bored of it.
Zombie slashing only game? not for me
BioShock - Awesome game, but its not for everyone. You gotta like the art design though, its nice! (although I don't own it).
RB6V - Cool SP, awesome MP. I traded it in because I couldnt afford the Gold account and was getting bored with the same maps over and over again.
ALL type of games have their own fans, you know.
For example I LOVE Killzone art design, weapons, models in general really, and story.
I didn't see it as a Halo competition at all when I watched gameplay and trailers (havent own Killzone) but it looks very cool.
