Test Drive Unlimited 2 is now available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC all around the world and here are the first 10 minutes of the 360 version of the game. A second video will also show you the licenses you are obliged to pass to have access to the different championships. The structure of the game is now more straightforward than before but it is still possible to drive around freely on Ibiza and Oahu. More videos will come, including extracts from the PS3 version captured by our good friend DJmizuhahra. Stay tuned!
Note: The 360 videos have been captured in hardcore mode with a standard controller.
Update 2: A new video is now up.
TDU 2 clearly offers good graphics considering the open environment it features, but unfortunately 360 players are experiencing some major problems online, even preventing them from launching the game at all. Thankfully, PS3 owners do not seem to face the same issues at the moment. Car handling feels a bit odd, as the cars seem to be very sensitive every time you touch the left analog stick, but the fact that you can enjoy standard roads and dirt tracks this time offers more variety in gameplay. Sound-wise, it is a bit disappointing when it comes to car engines as the first game seemed to do a much better work. It varies depending on the car model you drive but it is still a bit of a let down.
One thing that can't be blamed is the game's content. There are tons of things to do on two different islands. There are many different types of activities (race, eliminator, speed, radar, time-attack, convoy, etc), you can search the islands to find some of the hidden wrecks or even work for a photographer and get him snapshots of specific locations. Avatars and cars can also be fully customized to make them completely unique. When you add to that the online modes that are available, you realize that the game will keep you busy for a while.
Anyway, as you see, getting into TDU 2 will require a little time but the community aspect is promising enough to make it worth the effort and forget some of the title's flaws. Now it still remains to be seen if the server problems that have been going on for a few days will be fixed soon, and if it will be finally possible to retrieve the photos uploaded in photo mode (it has never been the case in the previous game). Don't hesitate to tell us what you think of the game in the comments!

Thankfully this is a racing game and they don't matter that much.
I like the overall graphics, except for some of the human models.
I also like the gameplay mechanics, though I need to try it out first and see for myself how the cars act.
Thanks for the videos!
But I am not that interested about the looks. Racing just now and then and between that just cruising around sounds really good to me.
Graphics are arse-chappingly god-fucking awful.
