First 10 minutes Xbox 360 PS3

The 17th saw the released of the eagerly awaited Catherine from Atlus. It's an action-adventure puzzle game that is above all aimed at adults. It's also worth mentioning that even on easy this game is hard as hell, it's a real challenge. Videos of the beginning of the game inside.

Uploading another video as I type and it's very disturbing. Vincent is being chasing by a huge butt with a tongue and a giant baby. :D This game is amazing if not ridiculously HARD!

I was curious about this game so i played the demo, but unfortunately it doesn't feel like a full-price game. The gameplay felt more like a mini-game collection.

EDIT: Too bad they came up with this...thing...instead of a sequel to the awesomeness that was Persona 4.

Lol why? Gameplay is fine. People were just expecting something else of this.

It's a puzzle/platform game, instead of a rpg. I welcome it's *freshness*. Plus it seems to have a great story, with some great characters. Game is supposed to last 20 hours, and with diffrent endings, doesnt sound like minigame collection at all.

Many thanks for the videos, now i wait for the day ATLUS USA, announces it, so i can import :D

I don't know, i just don't like puzzle/platform games like this as a full-price game. I probably would've liked this game as a 5 euro game without the great story and great characters. No, it's not my cup of tea. And you're right, i expected something else of this. So right now i feel like all their talent was wasted. I wish they used it to make Persona 5.

It's simple don't like it don't buy it. Their talent certainly wasn't wasted for me, seems to be a great game.

Persona 5 is coming for sure, and i welcome they doing a complete diffrent game in between.
Then people complain industry is filled with sequels after sequels. We had, P3, P3 FES, P4, P3portable, Persona 1 and 2 now launched on PSP, there's been plenty personas over the last years.

There might have been a lot of Persona releases these past years, but unfortunately all remakes or portable re-releases. And despite that the last "new" persona game was released in Japan just 2,5 years ago, it was released on the PS2. The day i finally could get my hands on it in Europe, the Xbox 360 was already on the market for more than 3 years, and the PS3 for 2 years. Kind of disappointing, despite it being a great game.

Anyway, some Japanese publishers love to make tons of remakes/re-releases before making a sequel or new IP (Yes, i'm looking at you Square Enix!). But i agree, i also welcome they do a complete different game. They did with Catherine and i was curious, but it turns out to be not really my thing. I hope others will enjoy Catherine though, while i patiently await a new next-gen Persona game.

Nice art in this game but the game itself is certainly not worthy of a full price release. It's a 400 point XBLA game at best.

I understand it, this game certainly isn't for everyone.

And don't worry, Persona 5 is coming i'm sure. And despite some people not enjoying catherine it's their first HD game on ps3/360, and it points (hopefully) for a release of Persona 5 in those consoles, i hope so. :p

Nobody should be surprised how this game turned out, there has been plenty of news around the net for months now.

Although the actual gameplay is tedious at times I may still pick it up just for the story and anime style.

Plus supporting Altus is always a good cause :D
