Here is the fifth dev diary of Rage that shows us the enemies we will encounter in the game, from bandits to mutants to super soldier.
A preview of the game will follow soon, as we've played the Xbox 360 version for quite a long time.
Most wanted FPS for me as well, looks so damn great!
And hearing them say "enemies react to your shots" makes me have a smirk of joy.
Thats how it should be, enemies reaction to each of your attacks are important to have a good satistfying feedback.
good.. AI has been confirmed.. was getting alittle worried there.
Games looks beautiful... really digging the pastel like look to it. And 60fps (regardless of what Dice may be currently telling you) does make a difference in the feel of an fps game. Be interesting to see if this actually is 720p or not..if so then Carmack needs a pat on the back for his engine.
Well that video had much more of a positive effect on me. Dynamic situations is what i love and while you can sort of apply that to most games actually, they rarely ever really feel that way. The reason i love Halo games is for their always reacting AI. This is on my radar now
Raiptor: yes that stuff is great. Funny thing is even the original Goldeneye had a form of it and so it honestly should be in all games of this type by now

FPS of The Years!!
Notice the "s" there?
Well yes of all years!!!
Bring it Carmack!!
Calm yourself. It'l be a great game, but that's just hyperbole, and there is really no need for it.
I'm looking forward to it, especially for the PC where mods are going to be insane for this game. Hopefully there is a lot of variaty in it's missions as much as there seems to be in the visuals. That for me is something that will either make it something very good, or something very special. I know it's going to be good.

Well i expect the gorgeous golden atmosphere will blind me to any flaws. Some games i'm less picky
Yes, but in the end you are going to do alot of shooting arent you? to gain XP and such its through combat.
If thats not satistfying and such it feels tacked on and a chore...IMO.
And the facial animations are very bad too compared to Mass Effect for example.
But, I do believe they focused alot to bring the old Deus Ex feeling back since Invincible War was dissapointed to many, if not all.
Rage on the other hand, has light RPG which I like.
Get quests, have inventory, loot for scraps and create ammo...etc. just light RPG with great gunplay and it is a good "open world" compared to alot of corridor shooters.

This game had lots of hype but everyone is talking about MW3 vs BF3. In fact more about BF3 lol. I think this game will do better than Crysis2
The hype those games generates is insane, now Im not saying they don't deserve it but come on this is a diferent kind of game, a fresh air sort of speak.
damn it all if it doesn't make a profit and yet MW3 makes billions.

Just...stop. Deus Ex DOESNT have a lot of shooting, you can complete the whole game with stealth, that franchise is all about choices, very different from RAGE.
Gunplay, stop with this arrogant stance that you only need to see a video to judge hit detection. We get it, you like action games. From what I've played of it, whenever I had to shoot, there would be localised hit reactionsand to go along with that, really good AI. It stacks well with other FPSs, but they're striving for much more depth in gameplay than just combat. So pointless to compare the similarities of genre when there are more differences.

very few with religious beliefs are naive or zealots, but for sure don't find amusing their beliefs being thrown in for clout. maybe STFU with that discourse? (2 Weeks ago)

My God thats amazing.
Excuse me if that was already in other games but as in I'm no fan of this genre it looks incredible to me!!
