Developer Diary Xbox 360 PS3

Here is the second video of the massive world from SSX. This time the devs take us from the frozen landscape of Antarctica to the cliffs of Patagonia.

I'm hearing different places yet they all look similar. It's evident that the locations will play differently but SSX is as much a gameplay treat as it is a visual one. I hope the monochromatic footage of the game is simply the result of tactful video editing (I'm sure they don't won't to show their whole hand).

Yup, this video just goes to show how little identity each course has. When he listed off the next 3 tracks that are going to be shown in the next vid, i genuinely couldnt tell the difference. Everything looks the same....boring.

That says so much more about you than it does the game. I can't wait to see the next three, there's plenty of variation as far as I'm concerned. People keep moaning about the lack of man-made objects as though SSX3 wasn't mostly natural mountain or something. Merqury City and Tokyo Megaplex were a tiny, tiny part of what made SSX fantastic.

SSX tricky is what made SSX fantastic imo, nothing else. And you only need eyes to see there is very little to identify each track. One snowy mountain looks identical to the last, and one icey mountain is the same as the last. Just plain boring. Hell, even the VERY small hints of colour is exactly the same across each track. Unless they really open up a can of awesome between now and release there is no way i will be picking this up. Which sucks because i used to love SSX.
