Have to pick it up again, soon.

That strikes me as a problem in a game that's 99% dialog. Are these guys really better than TellTale?

Without spoiling one of the endings, it broke my heart like no other game or movie that I can remember has done before. The pain I felt in Life is Strange's ending reminded me of the pain I felt when I lost a family member.
It's a beautiful work of art and I wish Dontnod Entertainment all the luck in the world. Excellent artists. Thank you so much for one of the best experiences in my life!
PS. To those who questioned before, below are my play times (the times for Episodes 1, 2 and 3 are about 1-2 hours shorter because while replaying them, I didn't read most of the text, only clicked on it. Not to mention that I knew exactly what to do and didn't spent too much time figuring things out, rewinding time or seeing different outcomes):
Life is Strange (Total Playtime: 21:00)
---------------------------------------
Episode 1: 03:55
Episode 2: 03:40
Episode 3: 03:45
Episode 4: 05:40
Episode 5: 04:00
Life is Strange - EuroGamer's Review:
"Over five episodes, Life is Strange has become more than another interactive drama - it's become one of the most interesting games in years."
"Life is Strange has achieved so much more than anyone ever expected it to. It's interesting. It's a must-play."

PS. NO EMOJI!!!
Edit: I just read the Eurogamer review. I disagree with it. The whole "doesn't matter" closing paragraph sums up all of the games problems and insists that they don't matter. They do.
I still enjoy it. Looking forward to playing Tales From The Borderlands in this genre next.
I thought about your previous post while playing all episodes, and again when reading EuroGamer's review closing paragraph. I remembered because I honestly didn't care about any technical issues while playing, and even when a bug or texture bug appeared (I was playing with FoV 3-4 times wider) and I thought about it, the immediate thought was that I was enjoying myself too much to care.
I understand that if you're not deep into the story, atmosphere, characters, locations and etc, you will most likely not be able to overlook certain technical issues. But the contrary is also true, every time I encountered a bug or technical issue, I didn't care because everything else was really fun.
I understand your point of view and I respect it, I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same. But I'm in the same boat as EuroGamer's reviewer, all those things (of which I only experienced a few) are like the 0,1% of issues in a 99,9% epic experience.
Either way, I hope you enjoy the last episodes more. My favorites were Episodes 2, 4 and 3 - in that order.
PS. I'm gonna try "Her Story" later, heard a lot of great things about it.
I'm not finished btw.. still haven't played the finale.
Things like story, dialogue, lore and etc are subjective, and I decided to try and not discuss them with other people (not just this game, but any game, movie, TV show, etc) because it varies from person to person - i.e. you don't like the writing in LiS while I do.
I realized there's no point (or anything to gain from) in discussing subjective things since it's not something uniform to all people, and consequently not reliable. Hence I won't defend them, if you think they are bad, they are bad. Period.
To me they are great, so they are great. Period. There's probably nothing I can say, show or prove to convince you that they are great, and the same is true for you to convince me that they are bad. So if we were to start discussing these things, both of us would be wasting their time, which we can use in better ways - like playing games, watching movies and etc.
That's one of the reasons I don't comment much in the site anymore, once I realized most people here end up discussing/arguing with other people in vain - I can't remember of a single time someone here was able to convince someone else that he/she was right in a discussion about something subjective, there's no point to it and it truly is a waste of time.
So just enjoy LiS as best as you can and whatever you end up thinking about it, it's not wrong. Just different than my experience. =)
PS. NO EMOJI!
I haven't had this much of an emotional attachment to a series of games since Mass Effect, and Shenmue before that.
Glad you enjoyed it too. ^_^
Well done DontNod; a stunning achievement!
