Lords of Shadow DLC have a date

Konami has given a release date for both DLC of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, they are expected to launch in early 2011. The first one is called Reverie, where Gabriel will return to the castle to help Laura. The second, Resurrection, continues the story right after the end of the game. PR and artworks inside.

KONAMI unleashes two new DLC packs for the most spectacular Castlevania title of all time…

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced two new downloadable content packages for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow which will feature all new areas, monsters, and brand new story lines.

In Castlevania Lords of Shadow ‘Reverie’ players will return to the Castle as Gabriel to help Laura, the former servant to the vampire Carmilla, in destroying the unruly evil that was previously kept in check by the recently slain Queen.

Once completed, fans of the series can download the second DLC entitled ‘Resurrection’, which continues the story directly after the end of the game and gives some insight into the dramatic epilogue seen by players upon completion of the game, and Gabriel's ultimate destiny. This will be larger in scope than the first add-on, as it features a final showdown with a very notorious enemy. Both packs are expected to launch in early 2011.

Can you imagine how good a game Mercury Steam would have had on their hands, had they created an open world adventure with these visuals? Give us several km of countryside to explore, Red Dead Redemption style, then throw in some castles, towns, and dungeons.

Instead we got a second rate God of War clone with a broken camera. Such a waste of great art assets.

Thats not fair man, RDR devs had like 500 people working on it for like 5 years.

MS had like 80 people tops for much less of a time.

Besides, not every game needs to be open world. A game like Lords of Shadow definitely doesn't need it.

Lords of Shadows actually had an ending so this didn't need to be in the game, not to mention the fact that this really is extra content and not cut content (like the Tomb Raider Underworld ending or Prince of Persia ending).

I've been waiting for this DLC since i finished the game.

Can't wait for the 2nd DLC 'Resurrection'..those who enjoyed the game know the moment Belmont ushered those words, we wanted more.
