LORDS OF THE FALLEN: COMPLETE EDITION ASCENDS ON OCT. 27

CI Games’ Gripping Action RPG Rises Anew on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One Bundled With All Previously Released DLC

WARSAW, Poland – Oct. 15, 2015 – CI Games has announced that it will launch Lords of the Fallen: Complete Edition, an updated release of its intensely thrilling action RPG packaged with all of the game’s DLC, later this month.

The “Ancient Labyrinth” campaign leads the charge of bonus content available in Lords of the Fallen: Complete Edition. Locked away between the realms of humans and demons is a long-forgotten maze of dangerous puzzles, hidden secrets and frightful terrors to explore. This expansion introduces one of the most powerful Lords of the Rhogar army, as well as new weapons and armor, story and lore, side quests, and rewards that vary depending on player choices.

Lords of the Fallen: Complete Edition also includes the following DLC add-ons:

• Demonic Weapon Pack – Holds three fearsome weapons of wicked origins: a trusty sword balanced for offense and defense, twin daggers for raw power, and a magic-stealing hammer.
• Lion Heart Pack – Unlocks an elite armor set accompanied by an equally mighty hammer and shield.
• Monk Decipher – A new quest that digs deeper into the Keystone Monastery to claim a legendary artifact that reacts to hidden places and treasures.
• The Foundation Boost and The Arcane Boost – Each pack contains two resource cards to aid Harkyn on his journey.

Set in a sprawling medieval fantasy universe, Lords of the Fallen is built with rewardingly complex melee combat mechanics that make every encounter a fast-paced and satisfying challenge. When an ancient god of chaos returns to subjugate the world, humankind’s last hope for salvation is Harkyn, a convicted sinner cast aside by society. Confront the formidable Lords and generals of the dark legions as a Warrior, Rogue or Cleric, fully customizable with an evolving arsenal of skills, weapons and gear.

Lords of the Fallen: Complete Edition will be available in North America on Oct. 27 at retail stores only for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One for $29.99. It is rated M (Mature) by the ESRB. For more information on current and upcoming titles from CI Games, please visit www.cigames.com.

Agree. The game is very trivial and not as well thought out as Demons' Souls.

It's a pretty forgettable game, for sure. Story is pretty shit, the gameplay is decent at best and average at worst. I kinda regret buying it at full price, though i don't necessarily regret playing it. For like 20-30 bucks i think it's a passable game. Approaching 50-60 bucks though? Nah, not good enough.

One this i will say though. I WISH souls games looked as nice. There was a lot more nice atmospheric effects going on in this. And generally looks alot more current gen.

Yeah, it has a better engine, but wastes it with over-designed shitheaps and stupid lens effects. What dumbass though adding lens-effects to a GAME was a good idea? Why the f**k would you want to simulate an actual camera in a game world? Makes no sense.

it kinda makes sense in a 3rd person game since the viewpoint is that of an external camera. first person makes no sense though since it's supposed to be your eyes. similar thing for CA, it doesn't bother me much to be fair, but it makes much more sense in a game like outlast or SOMA then it does in bloodborne.

To me it just serves as a reminder that it's a game. It does nothing but break immersion. And the goddamn chromatic abberation in this game? So over done and uggly.

Imo, even if it is a third person game, do you really want top imagine a camera hovering around the player? Is that immersive to you? The camera in a third person game is there because that's the format that works, you are still supposed to be the character on screen. I don't know, it's a minor thing, i just think it's stupid and makes no sense for a game. Effort should be put in to make the game feel grounded in other ways imo, that is by far more effective.

i like it in most cases. i like seeing abrams-esque lens flair. i like seeing camera imperfections and dust on the "lens". to me it adds to a more believable image. it's like how i add noise to my renders in post because they look artificially clean without it. granted i don't have lens dust effects and CA on my eyeballs, but it adds a certain grittiness and realism for me. and i'm all for that. the CA was pretty overdone in bloodborne, but i can't say it detracted from the visuals at all.

as for your question. i feel like it is a camera hovering around the player character. the character isn't me as far as i'm concerned. and i rarely feel like any games are. even in first person i feel like i'm essentially a passenger looking in on some guy or girls journey. so lens effects feel quite apt for me.

Bloodborne had chromatic abberation? Didn't even notice. Lords of the fallens makes you feel like you should wear 80's 3D glasses though.

everyone bitched about it on gaf. i thought it was pretty noticeable but don't mind it. the DLC looks like it might have removed it based on the screen released. but i can't imagine so.

has a similar 80's 3D glasses effect tbh. i'm very glad i like it. otherwise i'd hate a lot of games this gen. lol

Just never noticed it while playing and only in a few screens can i even find it showing when googling images of it. So it must have been a fair bit more subtle than Lords of the fallen.

Also no, i don't care. Being part of the glorious PC master race I can turn that shit of in most cases. problem solved :P

The chromatic abbreviation was made optional with one of the first patches (even on consoles). So nothing to complain about here.

I think they built a good foundation, the world and graphics were great, the gameplay good to okay. But the story and characters were not good. And it had too many bugs - I had a gamebreaking one (couldn´t activate some anvils), so I stopped playing.
