Let's just say that Animation isn't this games strong suite.

It's a PC only game that seems to be a lot like Demons Souls and Dark Souls type... you know these devs can't just copy paste or it would be too obvious they are copying off another videogame.

I did got the game for sure.

Honestly, i'm not hugely impressed by it so far, but i've only played for like 7 hours or so. It's REALLY slow, so any idea of it being faster than the Souls games is right out the window. The big issue i have with the game is that it feels a bit like the enemies aren't as well designed (in their behavior, lik the AI and patterns) as in for example Dark Souls. A lot of the enemies turtle endlessly behind shields and you are often stuck trying to bait out attacks. So a lot of the "tougher" enemies i've encountered so far aren't really all that tough, they just take a long time to get down, because they never drop their guard, and when they do you usually only get a single hit off.

Story is complete garbage, it's like it was written by a 12-year old. Everything is supposed to be soooo cool and dark and gritty. It's just silly. Really silly. Unfortunately i think that sort of goes for the visuals as well. Things are so over-designed with little skulls and straps and shiny bits all over the place that it just looks cluttered and bad. The engine looks nice though, and the environments look ok, at least the ones i've seen so far. Also the Physx cloth simulation makes me cream my pants. Hope we get more of that in the future.

All the negativity aside i will finish the game, for sure. I'm pretty sure i'll give it a spin on NG+ as well, but i think the game has some serious flaws. On a scale of 1-10 where Dark Souls is a 9, Dark Souls 2 is maybe 7.5 or 8 i'd rate this at about 6. Slightly above average, but also has a lot of problems. Enjoyable but flawed, essentially, and for the love of god; don't go in for the story.
