Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

Capcom has released a trailer and new screenshots for Lost Planet 3 that illustrate two out of four online modes (Scenario and Akrid Survival). Multiplayer allows player to control either NEVEC forces or the Snow Pirates across 6 maps. Get everything inside. Release date set to August 27.

Scenario Mode sets each team a series of either offensive or defensive challenges and mixes them up with the extreme and unpredictable conditions of E.D.N. III. Players can compete in both third person on-foot action and in first person combat using the futuristic Vital Suits, making this a dynamic gameplay experience.

Akrid Survival sees two teams of three players compete independently of each other in a series of encounters against waves of hostile Akrid before the teams go head to head in a final PvP elimination round.

It's going to be entertaining seeing just how big of a flop this game is going to be. Anyone actually planning on buying this thing? Come on, show of hands!

Shooter wise the LP MP always stood out as something special (and it really was if you could overcome the shitty connection issues and are into fast paced 3rd person action) but this time around MP looks generic as fook, can't really get into it, wihich leaves the question: Why did Capcom outsource the ip in the first place ? Clearly was one of their better ip's. Sure cant be ONLY because of Inafune's departure from Capcom. Anyway, they're not doing themselves a favor with that decision.

It looks sooo wrong and has nothing to do with a typical LP multiplayer. Not gonna buy it. Capcom.

LP2 > LP3 :p

@Kostchtchie
The LP3 campaign has no co-op, which is a huge mistake IMO, because, even with a weak story, LP2s coop had a lot of fans and players.

damn that hud looks ugly as fu**, and whats with the gears of war looking blocky characters and robots, that shi* looks boring, not fun.
they lost me after lost planet 1. The series has gone japanese or capcomenese, looks lame and dull.
I just noticed something even more annoying, the gun reticles are too BIG and the shapes are so dumb, a small round circle with a dot works just fine and is far more attractive, these reticles look like their trying to block the whole damn game from the player

Only the first game was really all that well received though. Don't think 2 sold much better than it was received.
