Wii

Sega released their christmas gift with this new Madworld trailer. It's the uncensored version of the one released a few days ago on other sites, so expect a lot of gore!

Did i just see BLOOD , i mean real blood in a game for Wii ...

Only problem is to find +18 year old gamers to play the game and i don't mean the old people who have a Wii for those yoga practice stuff.

But it does look like a sweetgame if this black/white gameplay is in it ... something different

Looks very cool and unique and I love the dark sense of humour, this is the type of original game that the Wii sorly needs.

Well, a few thoughts. The black and white thing looks very nice, so much so that I wish they were doing a different type of game with this engine. Other than that I am not convinced it'll be more than a weekend game. It looks fun to just destroy things but the combat looks mixed, cannot tell if it'll be a straight up hack and slash (or in this case punch and stab) or if it will attempt some sore of depth.Either way I see it becoming a repetitive "coax enemy into big machine" thing, like I said that will work for a weekend but outside of that I don't see it being something you play a lot.

The blood looks good (I guess?) and follows the No More Heroes style of copious amounts. It also follows No More Heroes in the light-hearted, sarcastic, over-the-top theme.

One of those games I'd really want a demo for but Nintendo hasn't shown signs of going that route with its online service.

I'm all for originality in games but the black and white thing isn't scoring any points with me. It doesn't really add anything to the atmosphere, and it's not going to make gameplay very fun if you can't tell what's what

but you can tell whats what. they seem to be keeping the environments as static as pissible, while enemies and your character are constantly moving. keeps everything from merging into one which could of been as issue but clearly isnt.

looks cool tho. and i'm sure it'll be a great game since clover studios (although going by a new name now) havent made a bad game as of yet. i just hope it isnt as freaking hard as godhand...lol

PAL version of No More Heroes remained faithful to the japanese version, which is sort of Rising Star Games' motto - the ones who published it here. Only the US version had all the infamous gore in it. So that was special circumstance really.

No More Heroes 2 will come in two flavours here, one that continues on from the "ash" version we got of the first game, and one that'll be identical to the US version.

So, MadWorld is prolly safe as long as the germans don't decide its fate for the rest of us.

Was that.... Master Chief's voice? For the main character? Steve Downes?

Other than that... i feel that the lack of colour would drag quite quickly. Epecially when its quite so bitonal. No greys.

Looks cool, but that style is gunna give me headaches if I play it for more then 20 minutes at a time. Lucky for me I don't have a Wii and don't care to ever have one, so I won't have to deal with that. Does look interesting though, one of the few, including the conduit.

This game looks amazing

I wish more games took risks like this. I expect it'll have the same flair as Killer 7 and No More Heroes

and if the trailer is anything to go by it sounds as if the story is going to be pretty well told.

Thing is, risk taking is half the reason I like the Wii. I've said it before and I'll happily point it out again. Niche audiences is enough for an old tech game to be profitable. Instead of having to invest crazy amounts of money and dev time to compete with an HD blockbuster and sure-fire seller like Gears of War or MGS, you can just do this funky thing for less money that takes less time to develop thanks to familiar and simple hardware, have a reasonably good run at retail and that'll be enough.

What disappoints me is that it hasn't really happened as soon as I was hoping, but with a bit of luck next year will be different.

This game looks amazing. I'm worried about it though.

3rd party games really have a tough time on the Wii. I also doubt that most of the Wii crowd will want such a violent game. Still I hope it does well.

Awesome idea to make it look like a b/w cartoon. But tbh i dont like games that are violent just to be violent. Didnt like Manhunt either for the same reason.

Cool design, stupid idea.
