To keep you busy until our good friend Ghost_Deus is done with the writing of our Mafia 2 preview, here is a first dev diary 2K Games just sent us. The game has been officially announced for a late August release so we are bound to hear more and more about this highly-anticipated title.
MAJ: English version of the trailer available.

By the way, how come the crappy quality of GT's video does not kill videos for you?
Do you guys think you're the only ones coming here? Maybe we could also just forget about the English side and stop writing in English? Then you would be able to brush up on your French. Be a little tolerant, French people don't bitch about the lack of subtitles when they are none.
I can't believe you guys, moaning for such futile things... Gosh. I mean it's just subtitles... Funnily enough, nobody complained when the Gamersyde Diaries were subtitled in English for you. \o/
Update: I just realized that the cutscenes are in French and you were talking about the dubs, which I had no idea in the first place. We've been having so many negative comments just becasue of the subs that I assumed it was just about them. :/
The reason why we got the French version is that we are a French based site and this is what we are sent. But we will do our best to find the English version ASAP so you guys can understand what's being said. But the silver lining is that the cutscenes become spoiler free. :p
But well, that being said, we put so much effort in providing you with content (including making our own videos in English all the time without having anyone complain about it on the French side) that we find it a bit unfair that some would complain the second something is not the way they want it to be.
But sometimes, the publishers send us the French version and, when we don't have the English one, we prefer to put it online anyway so you can see it right away. We always add the English version a bit later so you don't feel left out.
So, ok, next time, you just won't see the news before it's available in English.
I personally can't wait. The story in the first one was a prime example of how to set a persistant, and interesting, narrative pace in an open world setting. I still have fond memories of the shoot out in the old barn, dead of night, rain crashing down.
Having sexy times is all the rage in games these days.. i wonder i've we'll get to make sweet music with another cross-eyed girlfriend...
