mag is a game with so much promise, i really hope that a strong community develops and strongly supports it. it's pretty hardcore in its execution and i guess it would be a turn off to alot(wanna be hardcore shooter players).
the only thing that stopped it from being perfect is a lack of keyboard/mouse support like UT3.
Even with my complaints, I bought it when it came out.
Its very addicting.
One thing that I love about the game is the big open war, reminds me of Frontlines fuel of War, except there is no "war toys" or vehicles to control and less futuristic (which is a shame), other than the transport vehicles.
Anyways, I think its a pretty cool game, but i still think the gunplay is bad compared to MW and Crysis.
I tried all factions to the point to try the cool scopes and the AR and Raven lacks that "punch" when shooting while Valor has the best one and then SVER then Raven.
I still went with Raven though considering I love the concept of high-tech sleek look that makes them look like a international "counter terrorist" force.
One thing is that my sister which is around 27 years old was addicted to Warhawk is in love with MAG now, both actually and she hated the beta like I did.
Once you know what you are doing and know that you cant go Rambo like MW2 in this game then it makes sense. Teamwork means everything and once a proper teamwork is going on then its tons of fun.
The only game I can think of that MAG reminds me of is Frontlines Fuel of War except you cant control vehichles (other than use turrets and drive transport humvees). Many have pushed the game off by videos and the beta, including me, but once I decided to give the full game a shot by a big chance then I slowly started to love it and kept playing alot.
But MAG is definitely not for everyone, but if you have a slight interest, its worth a try, or a rent if that option exist where you live.
now if this game only had mw2 weapon(s) customization it would be perfect, love the game to bits, everyone should least rent it geto level 10
I just find the gunplay to be VERY boring in this game. If the game can't make the act of firing a weapon feel good, it's a really hard thing to overcome.
Its not like Crysis, MW, Killzone 2, Bad Company 2 unfortunetly.
I dont like it, but I can say that for some reason it grew on me, enough not to care for it anymore. All my attention goes to killing enemies and, support my team to attack/defend whatever the objective the leader gives me.
I guess it all comes down to the kind of person you are and the kind of people you end up with playing. I'm the solo type so i don't care who i end up playing with anyway, so it's just a matter of me liking it or not, and i do. Oh, and there is that other matter concerning me not having a PS3, but that is what best friends are for, right? They buy the rival console so you get the chance to play any game you want!
