Next-gen in this case appears to mean poorly implemented normal mapping on everything! WOOHOO!

X-Men Legends 2 for Xbox is 720p--as are a handful of other Xbox 1 games--so why not?

The hate is strong in this thread..but I have a lot of faith in this game. X-men Legends rocked--and Raven is a more than capable developer. I'm usually one of the first around here to be critical of average visuals--but this game IS going to be a lot of fun..internet multiplayer seems to be a given..and a modern dungeon crawler is perfect for this platform.

I'm as sick up porting games up as anyone else, but I think that's it's sort of obsurd that you WOULDN'T want the best version of a game..I mean--sure, it may not be a show stopper--but this WILL be the best version of this game, on any platform..and there's a good chance it will be a damn good multiplayer game..AND it's early--so why not wait until more than ONE SS is available to completely write off a game?

GriftGFX, don't forget that this was is made by Snowblind this time and not Raven, so it's destined to be incredible, no matter how slackjawed it looks. For those who don't know, Snowblind created the excellent engine that is used for basically every single game of this type on last-gen systems, and created the fantastic Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath and Chapions: Return to Arms. I've got high hopes, to say the least.

If any system needs to be put to sleep right now, it's the PS2. The Xbox still has enough under the hood to strut it's muscle. If it weren' t for the PS2, multiplatform titles would look more impressive. The PS2 console is holding everyone back and that's not just a theory. PS2 $129 price drop my ass. That system should have been $99 before the Gamecube even started selling at $99. Sony felt that if they lowered the PS2 under the Xbox price, it would show weakness.

I think a lot of you guys forget that the perspective of these games is extremely far away from the characters themselves. The fact that they took up close shots is quite daring when their models wouldn't ever be played at that level.

Another last gen game on a next gen console? They might as well make sure they are backwards compatible, oh wait, but then where's the milking?

they are that poor because there is no xbox version so its ps2. And ps2 graphics are that bad lol. I noticed when I tried playing kingdom hearts the other week.

Writing "a multi-platform title for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii" sounds really stupid now. I think we'll just write "Nintendo consoles" instead.

i know they arent going for realistic with their art style, but being that shiny and plastic looking is bad no matter what theyre trying to get made.

Woah I did not know that--I thought Raven was doing this as well. Either dev. gets a thumbs up from me--they've both shown they can make a solid dungeon crawl.

Roflcakes. I guess the 360 has 64MB of RAM instead of 512 judging by those textures. But fear not. At least the loading times will take 20 seconds each time you die because the RAM is emptied and re-precached whenever the scene is reset (ala Tomb Raide Legend).

God I love quality programming that has the morals and work ethic of true professionals.

And fyi Baldurs Gate DA (and 2) were and still are jaw-droppingly good looking games for the PS2, with amazing use of geometry and snazzy water physics. I played through #1 in co-op (more props for co-op!) but got bored of 2

Why this company is reduced to pushing out sub-par garbage like this is anybodys guess. If its sub-par in ANY quality its sub-par in everything. High work ethic does not let you slack off in any aspect.
