Personally, I see no big reason in adding Trish into characters roster but yet I like the character)). Others either predictable (Chun Li, Felicia, Captain America, Dr.Doom) or not so well known to me (Super-Skrull).
i hate the look of it, the characters look massively out of place and really plastic-looking, and the backgound look boring and lifeless. i'm yet to see a fighter this gen that i like the look of. well, that's a lie. king of fighters LOOKED awesome, but wasnt. based on what i've seen of this, i think i'd rather just play the sprite based second game.

Agree with "plastic-looking" part. Especially for the characters whose costumes supposed to be made of metal. That's the only personal problem of mine with the game I have for now.
Looks solid, but I still prefer the nostalgic old looks. Would be interesting if they'd make a hand-drawn graphics in HD kinda like they did in Street Fighter.

Yep same here, I think it looks better than SF4 tbh.
The design of the characters from SF looks MUCH better, they arent exagerated like SF4 which is a big plus.
I might plan on buying Super Street Fighter 4 today, and later on maybe get MvC3 in 2011, but you never know :)
I think I enjoyed watching that fight more than I would playing it.. just because I can't imagine myself being anywhere near good enough to do what I just witnessed. What a good 3v3 fight though, was awesome!

I know, it was a joke. I still think it's dumb that they're dumbing down the easiest to play Capcom fighter on the planet. It's made me go from "ZOMG!" to "wait and see."

I also agree that there is no point in simplifying a game like this too much. A fighter needs a certain amount of depth to be interesting to play, or it just turns in to rock em sock em robots.
I think as a style to use to unify all the different looks of the different characters in a total fan orgy like this, the more sterile action puppet look is a good choice. I personally prefer the charisma that you can infuse into a more bold, more exaggerated look though, and goofy kinda automatically means more charm when you're dealing with the beefcake convention that fighters boil down to.
As long as any potential Darkstalkers revival veers more in the direction of SF4 goofyness, I'm not too upset that some characters look like polysterine wrapped in plastic in this. The biggest loss is that Morrigan's curves are traded for sterile, proportional action puppetness.
