Images PC Xbox 360

After two videos last week, Bioware has decided to release five new images of Mass Effect 2. The game will hit the shelves at the end of January 2010 and saying that it is highly-anticipated would be quite an understatement.

Why do the GOTY insist on early year releases? No Doubt, should be 2009 GOTY, and not 2010!

This would be an automatic GOTY for me if Halo:Reach wasnt coming out in the same year

Man, so many good games coming out in 2010. It's hard to know how I'm going to save the cash to get all the ones I want.

Sweet.

Aw man, so many good games coming out. Haven't even picked up AC2 yet and have barely dug into MW2.

The improved the texture quality quite a lot if these screens are representative for the final product.
Or they took them from the PC version…

Regardless of texture quality this game will rock!

not the texture quality, but the attention to detail when it is necessary... i'm gonna play with tali in my squad 100% of the time, why shouldn't she be modeled with as much care as Shepard, and not with low-res. textures as an geth enemy?
Bioware made the squad very detailed as it should be, just look at the flottila counsilor in the earlier video on gamersyde and how low-res her veil looks compared to tali. She is gonna be in prolly just 1 cutscene of a 100+ cutscene/characters featured in the game. they should spend time and effort where it counts.

the upside to have aliasing in screenshots is that it increases the probabilty that the screens are representative of ingame quality, and it looks great!

I loved the first game up until the combat became really repetitive and clumsy. Hopefully this will be a lot better in this game.
I think we played different games. Mass Effect's combat started out clumsy because of all the behind-the-scenes dice rolling, but it only got better with time.

Means they are probably ingame.

Funny, I'm currently on my 8th playthrough and haven't noticed it being clumsy and repetitive...
But then this was the first time that I noticed that some of the music was copied from jade empire. Not a bad thing mind.

That is Tali.
She is Quarian and as such she is wearing a protective suit and mask. Her entire race was driven off from their former home planet by the Geth. Centuries of isolation in the sterile environment of the migrant fleet left their immune system atrophied.
To cut the long story short: That’s an alien women.

Seeing these screens just reminds me how amazing of a job Bioware do with the whole futuristic with style theme, very much like bladerunner. Easily the only game that comes close to reaching bladerunner's aesthetic brilliance.

If the acting and story are half as good as the first game then this will be an amazing game no doubt. I can only assume the combat will be even better as well. Sould be an epic game for Bioware's numerous fans.

Quit your Jawin' and fillet that critter! Joking aside, The alien designs in ME are friggin' awesome. The designers of this game get major kudos from me, as they can make the aliens look strange and appealing at the same time. He, Fish-face does seem pretty cool...
