Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

The last DLC of Mass Effect 3 comes out today on Xbox Live and PC (PS3 tomorrow). The crew is back at the Citadel before facing a new threat. We must admit that this trailer is pretty interesting, but if you want to get this last trip with Commander Shepard and his band, it will cost 1200 MS Points or € 14.99. It is up to you, but we expect the opinions of those who buy it in the comments.

some of those action moments on the cutscenes are pretty cool, but then the facial animations are ATROCIOUS! Is this the second sequel to what was suposed to be the best facial animation franchise of the current-gen?

There is no rpg with great facial animation, so it's not a ME problem only.

does that really excuse it though? i don't think it does tbh.

i'm sure this is another overpriced, short DLC for mass effect, they all have been so far, why would this be any different?

No that would go to the Uncharted series, Heavy Rain and LA Noire.

it isn't even like the first ME had great facial animations for it's time. heavenly sword and half life 2 where kicking its ass too. i do hope next gen they put more effort into that sort of stuff. flapping jaws just don't cut it anymore.

I saw the ME Tech Demo, before it was a mass effect, and they bet their money on the dialogue and facial animation.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsBcMAA8zrA

It's like they gave up advancing their engine/tech on that aspect.
And when I talk quality animation, i'm talking a real game with dozens of characters to manage and enter in a conversation, not some shitty cheesy 8 hours 3 protagonist game filled with 2 hours pre-rendered mo-cap talking and the rest just shooting.

From the Ashes(because of Javik) and The Leviathan(because there is some explanations about the origin and the purpose of the Reapers that actually make some sense...) were good although both of them should have been in the original game in the first place. :/

With this DLC they are hitting the fans at an emitional level with the characters we love to play with. They are offering to play with Thane, Grunt, Wrex etc. again. And there are some moments in this trailer that could be accepted as iconic.

Now I normally could have been thankful for bringing only one DLC like this as an "optional content" but given the EA's current reputation and the content of this DLC I can't think anything else than they are closing the gap between themselves and fake beggars on the side of walkways.
