Jordan and NBA 2K11 ready for October

We know it since a few days, Michael Jordan is back on a video game as he will grace the cover of NBA 2K11 and will be playable. The game has also its release date, it will launch on October 5 in North America and three days later in Europe. A commercial video inside.

Thursday 3rd June/... 2K Sports announced today that 14-time NBA All-Star, five-time NBA Most Valuable Player, six-time NBA World Champion and recent Hall of Fame inductee, Michael Jordan, will appear on the cover of NBA® 2K11. Jordan, who is considered by many as the greatest basketball player in history, will fittingly team up with the NBA 2K series, the top rated and top selling basketball simulation video game*.

“It’s an honour to be featured on the cover of NBA 2K11,” said Jordan, current majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. “I have no doubt that NBA 2K11 will be a big hit with gamers and basketball fans alike. I’m looking forward to getting back out onto the court, virtually. Let’s hope they get my dunk from the foul line right.”

2K Sports is paying homage to the NBA legend by placing him on the cover of its award-winning franchise. NBA 2K11 will continue to build upon the outstanding success of the NBA 2K series with continued improvements to the graphics, gameplay, signature styles and game modes seen in previous iterations.

Can't wait!! 2K10 is incredible, and I'm sure this will be an improvement! Jordan is a nice added bonus :)

I still am annoyed that some of the technology features in this series haven't been used elsewhere. Simply the the best real-time cloth simulation on 10 guys simultaneously and muscle simulation. Not to mention fantastic animation and transitions...

That trailer needed Jordan in it with the tune Space Jam and I would have been sold on it instantly.

Day one for me. I grew up a HUGE Jordan fan and I am, to this day, a huge fan of basketball (college and pro). If they do indeed let us re-create Jordan's biggest games with even most of the bulls roster from the repeat threepeat era, then I will be one happy bastard.

Can't wait to see what new animations and features they have added. Seriously this series just gets better and better. One of the few yearly games that actually feels worth the yearly upgrade.
