Sega has finally set a release date for Alpha Protocol, the game will be in stores on May 28 in Europe and on June 1 in North America. Screenshots and a trailer after the jump.
I don't know... This games graphics weren't anything special last year when it was originally slated for release, Im worried that come may this game will look dated graphically compared to other RPG's out this year. Graphics aren't everything I know but after the graphical quality and visual style of the top RPG's out this year this game just seems to lack that visual punch it needs to stand out of the crowd and scream "PURCHASE ME IF YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR YOU"!! but hey they have till may.. doubt it will look much better then but you never know. Don't get me wrong, I am very interested in the ideas this game has and I will certainly give it a fair whirl because hey what it may lack graphically it may make up for in other areas. We shall just have to wait and see... not like we haven't already been waiting long enough..
While I love the idea of a modern spy version of Mass Effect, the bland textures and uninspired character designs really make it hard to get too excited.
I just hope Obsidian gets their act together stylistically when they roll out Fallout: New Vegas.
Even though this trailer make the game look a bit... mediocre, I still retain some hope that it will have redeeming features in the end. Obsidian have always lived in the shadow of Bioware, but I have respect for them as a developer that turns out solid RPGs.
It's an RPG, akin to Mass Effect. It's not like it'll trailer well with in-game footage like this.
I hope it's good. It's Obsidian, it SHOULD be good. They've certainly been allowed to work on it for as long as they need, which should in theory prevent a KOTOR2 type situation.
In any case, it's awesome to hear Nolan North playing someone other than Nathan Drake in Game X disguise.
Yesh you people,I like graphics as much as the next person but come on, I'm looking forward to this one for the wealth of options in being as I want to be a spy. And for that it looks as if it'll be greatly delivering. And Great pic io LOL
I think if it would have been released last year when it was supposed to I would probably enjoy it. Now, after Mass Effect 2 I'm not so sure anymore.
I always wanted a spy-RPG so I'll get it just because of that, but if the gunplay doesn't work out I don't know. Mass Effect 2s combat was incredible fun.
Sure, to some extent I guess if they get the RPG part of the game right that'll do. But they seem to focus heavily on the action elements as well, so guess if that's broken it could really ruin the rest of the game.
