The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition is available on Xbox Live Arcade starting today for a price of 800 points. Here are a few images of the new version of the game which will include new voice acting and a revamped soundtrack.
Sold! I absolutely loved the original but never finished it. The updated visuals are just icing on the cake. Not quite sure how the point and click interface is going to work with a controller, but I imagine it will be just fine. Cant wait!

I'll totally buy it in hopes that MI2 is released as well (that's my favorite) but i don't like them new graphics at all. Sure is a good thing we have the old ones still.
Fuck me, I was planning to buy this but since they only have enough time for about two conversations (and not very good ones at that), it really doesn't give any impression about the game.
game is awesome. new art style is great. only gybrush looks a bit strange and its a shame that you cant play the original version with localised texts and voice acting. but the worst thing is that in the new version "look at" is missing. i have to play chapter 2. in old mode to look in to the chests and so. playing it for 5 hours and just arrived at monkey island (tm) ;)

are you kidding? the under 10 crowd never will play this. they cant get in touch with such games and they are just too young to get it without help (most of them) this is for the "old" gamers how love such games especially the lucasarts games.
Love it :D and the new graphics/audio is GREAT! The good is, that wee can use the BACK button if we want to use the old graphics ;) the game is awesome...finaly it game to X360 arcade!

It does look really nice in HD though :)
