Microsoft will not let down Xbox 360 (and PC) owners this month since Fable 3 will be released at the end of October. A few images to ease the wait, because you're all worth it.
I enjoyed the previous games as well, but when I remember all those speeches Molyneux had when he was making the first Fable how it's gonna be a technological marble, but it wasn't, and then he explained how xbox was not powerful enough and now second gen of the Fable series and it still fails in that department, but like you said it's gonna be fun for sure :D
Ok so it looks kind of shitty (though they got the faces right this time at least) and we all know it will be shallow as fuck of an RPG with a pinch of Sims stuck on it's side with old chewed gum, but you know what really is the last nail in the coffin for me? The ridiculously thick accent that makes every character sound like a complete ass-clown. Any immersion that might have been there is instantly broken as soon as you hear a voice :P

Molyneux never meant "technological marble" (lol) in terms of graphics, he meant in terms of social AI and programming, much like the Sims or his previous God games.
I don't think I buy any game now (or ever did for that matter) because their graphics were amazing. If I'm honest to god the only game that has given me a sense of "wow!" was when I first stepped out of that Bumblebee escape pod on Halo CE.
Will most probably buy this not for the graphics or Molyneux's look at me speeches, but because I enjoy the Fable universe.
I'm just curious...what about it is it that's so enjoyable? The story in Fable 1 and 2 have been complete jokes. There are virtually no characters, only retarded peasants that want to marry you when you fart and flex. The world is cookie-cutter fantasy. the graphics are poor. The "social" aspects are sahllow and pointless. The RPG aspects are shallow. The combat is pretty flawed and shallow. The amount of loot to collect is miniscule. I just find there is very little to like about the series so far :P

These screens just piss me off though. I feel like this is just them trying to sell a lie with screenshots on top of the verbal lies that have been happening since Fable 1. Offensive.
Sorry Sorry Sorry if I offend any Fable fans. But how the hell has this game evolved. Fable 1 was not bad just way too short, Fable 2 was terrible, broken and just silly. This 3rd game looks no better, those screenshots are awful, the Witcher will own this. Looking forward to seeing this fail lol

First thing first. I did not joined anything. I bought 360 for new games, new awesome games like Lost oddysey, Gears, not even Halo.
Project Gotham etc. THen i bought PS3 for God of war 3.

Dragons age origins is super awesome game and it has average/poor graphics.
@Megido, personally the enjoyment for me comes from being at work for a large portion of the day and having another place to go to when I get back even if it is as shallow as a flattened-out teaspoon.
The real appeal was that it was a fantasy world without any thinking required. Unlike Mass Effect where your choices are often influential and there are many of them (with the addition of the trilogy they will make a difference in the next game you play as well) Fable's appeal comes from the fact the the choices are mainly to be an ass or a hero for that moment.

Regardless of what he meant, it failed to deliver anything remarkable on any front, a prime example of classic Molyneux overpromising at work.

I wouldn't say that, making a funny game with British humour is pretty hard to do ;) I agree with the criticisms the series has got, I'd rather play an Elder Scrolls with their "radiant AI" improved, but I love the whimsy world that Fable is.

I disagree because this would imply that not liking the game is somehow the player's fault for "not getting it."
Fable 2 was simply not a good game for a lot of people and not because they didn't "get it," but rather, the game didn't do much well and did a lot of things poorly.

Fable 2 is underrated for its visuals imo. Theres nothing wrong with them..theres nothing ground breaking about them either, but they're certainly better than the majority of RPG's that have hit this gen.
Fable 3, it's disappointing that theres not more effert in the visuals, it's nothing to do with the hardware its on, it's simply because its the same engine and microsoft need to push these games out (having last year fairly empty for first party games - something set to be repeated next year). Same thing with Crackdown 2.
Gameplay wise though you can garentee it'll atleast be playable/enjoyable if you liked the previous games.
Personally i'd love to see Lionhead take Fable in a darker direction..actually add some fables to it. Or, failing that, give us something different - where the hells the kinect inspired black and white? MS want to attract the core games to kinect, surely thats a game a perfect match for it?
