The buildings in the first pic look lovely, but other than that it looks poor, very low detail character models, low-res textures and OTT lighting effects. It's got potential, but for graphics alone in this state it's no match for COD2, and certainly no match for BIA:HH.
Now i want some gameplay footage and some info?
Can we customize our characters? (like Rainbow Six)
Do we have a squad feature (Like BF2)
Can we use those vehicle's?
Can we use that remote controll helo and that little "robot" in the same pic?

"Use high-tech combat systems to collect and relay recon, targeting, and threat information between team mates."
"Players may grow their soldier to fit their play style by choosing a weapons loadout, as well as a technical specialization (role). Each role will also upgrade to provide advanced equipment and abilities. It is a mix of RPG-like depth and FPS accessibility"
"Both in single and multiplayer, players join the forces on the front line. This front requires successful achievement of the non-linear, contextual objectives in order to move forward. The system rewards advancement and keeps players right in the midst of the action."
"Take advantage of a sandbox of destructible elements to create a unique path and strategy through each mission. Instead of failing and re-playing the same sequence of events, players can 'chip-away' with varied approaches."

Aren't there any good stories to put in game? Or developers just don't want to bother themselfs. Like "Who will be the bad guys? Oh Soviets". Thanks that not Russians.
Huge BF fan. Rainbow wishes it could be half as cool.
Looks better than before, and I was already excited by the little teaser screenshots they showed ages ago. If this game lives up to its heritage, then DICE just lost a fan.
This is also for Windows, btw.
Go KAOS, go THQ! Goodbye EA, goodbye DICE, it was great while it lasted.
Oh yeah
hehe can't wait. Might be the next BF
Half-Life, Team Fortress, Counter-Strike & Halo makes up a lot of my "FPS Diet" ;)

Frontlines is a open battlefield, tactical team shooter, much like BF2. Nothing like this has ever been ported over to the console side without losing a lot in the transition. People who enjoy these sorts of games should be thrilled that a high profile multiplayer FPS is multiplatform on multiple next gen consoles and PC's.
There's only one other game that has that sort of presence, and that's UT3.
Atleast it's not another cookie cutter campaign. Most people are quick to judge this genre, but I have a feeling those are the people least likely to play these games anyway. Maybe if you actually sat down with some modern FPS, you'd realise that they're not actually all the same.
FPS is by far my favorite genre but, it just seems to be on its last legs now due to it's nipples have been drained. But i am currently taking a much needed break from the FPS world, i might not touch it untill halo 3 to be honest, Maybe it is my fault i am sick of it all due to over play, or maybe it is the devs fault for not giving us a great choice, not sure but wither way i am having a break from it
PS: remote chopper looks great :D

STOP COMPARING DIFFERENT GAMES
Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden are both futuristic ninja games, sure, but people would be all "Ryu kicks Sho's ass!".
Now it's like.. uh.. "my generic war person kicks... I dunno.. nazis?"
So while there's a difference in gameplay, I think people are just tired of the themes.
Which brings me to:
I think Crysis perfectly illustrates the problem with the genre. For all people know it's "an fps" (hence people know exactly what to expect from the shooting) and all people are concerned about is that it looks nuts. And it does! Nuts!
But it's too bad at the same time that the biggest draw of new fps' always seems to be the latest tech, simply because controls are essentially locked down to the standard mouse/keyboard fare, with any aviation being HATED instantly (because they suck compared, I know!).
I think the real steps will be taken by console FPS (Condemned, Riddick, Halo) where changes seem more welcome and easily pulled off simply thanks to how dynamic a gamepad can be. Perhaps even the auto aim system encourages efforts be made elsewhere in the gameplay mechanics, rather than simply having everything complement the SUPER TWITCH AIM X.
Wii makes even the most generic FPS feel entirely fresh (Red Steel isn't great per se, but soon enough the controls steal the show) and I think ultimately what we need the most - and this concerns EVERY genre - is for input methods to shake things up. We're too damn settled in right now, and everything feels like we expect it to from the bleeding pictures. Or at least that's what we believe, dismissing everything that doesn't! :O Ironic really.
People laugh it off, but I can see even the Sixaxis playing an integral part in this. *cue laughter*
I'm up for more FP combat games to. ;)
