This game seems to be looking great. The last time I played a really visually amazing space shooter was silpheed on the megacd (segacd), your tiny vessle against HUUGE ships. This could have the same feeling.

Game Arts.. hmm I recall a megadrive game with a girl and a dragon or something that shoots lightning, and classic music.

edit: much to my amazement, Silpheed was a Game Arts game. Sylph... interesting.

Yea Project Sylph is some kind of sequel to Silpheed.,.. :)

It looks horrible as a 360 game IMO. Iguess it's another Japanese game with small budget. The game itself might be interesting, though.

Reminds me of X-wing vs TIE and Wing Commander 3. Thumbs up, may be a fun one to play.

Get a new pair of eyes. The game looks great and has thousands of enemy fighters on screen at once. Tell me an another game that does that.

1. I am not to happy being a FF fan that Square is doing this to FF13, there going to milk it like overrated FFVII..

2. There been rumors that FF13 would hit the 360.. It would not shock me, more money for Square/

FFVII is anything but overrated. You know I notice a trend... The moment something gets too popular its suddenly overrated. Sure its regarded as the best thing when its not as widely popular and is mostly adored by a niche group of but heaven forbid its get too popular for most to stomach.

I think it has more to do with the fact that when someone is a "die hard" fan of something they pride themselves in being able to say I knew about or followed this before it really made it big.

It then gets immensely popular and the first set of fans suddenly see themselves as less of a significance to the success of the series they once considered themselves to be one of few in the know about. So there are people that knowingly or unknowingly take offense to that and suddenly claim "well its no longer as good as it use to be anyway" and from there they are always in a desperate search for something new to come along and fill that void. For many in regards to Final Fantasy that became Dragon Quest.

Why do you guys think everyone is searching for the "Halo Killer" on the console still? The sudden interest in console fps games by certain developers is most certainly no coincidence. Saints Row being made and seemingly similar to a popular franchise we all know about is no coincidence either. You guys know why GTA was such a big success when it went 3D on the ps2? It was an old game alot of newer games had shown up many people had forgotten about GTA, but as old as the GTA games were.. they still contained some of the highest fun factor of any game out there and it still had a large number of fans that would play it constantly to pass the time because it was just so fun. The old overthetop point of view gta games were incredibly fun beyond belief and only specific few were as rabid for the series then. It came to the ps2 and the games fan base followed, but then people that might've been ignoring this little gem for a long time finally started to take notice just how fun the game truly was and since then it has blown up everyone and their mother talks about it so now the early rabid die hards now claim its overrated as well.


I think If Final Fantasy VII didn't manage to have the type of success that it did in the USA nobody would dare claim the game is overrated because a lot of people feel comfort in knowing they are among a select few that know about something of quality. To see things like that has a sort of "cool" factor I guess. For example how many were big linkin park fans when linkin park were up and coming? It was cool to be fans of these guys then suddenly they become too big now so they are now overrated and the more unknown groups with talent are better than them simply because everyone loves the underdog.

I'm sure people here before have seen something or someone get so popular and know that at one point nobody would dare speak ill of this thing or this person, but then it reaches a point where you mention this person or thing and they're like "Wow get with the times thats old news check this out.. its better "

Why are people looking for the ipod killer? There are already people starting to say the ipod product is immensely overrated and that iriver has a better product.

Fact is people might not see ff7 as the best of the final fantasy series, but it sure as hell isn't overrated. People have just downright gotten sick of its popularity and are reacting. Of course advent children was going to be made in an attempt to bank off of the game's popularity ;) Final Fantasy VII is so damn popular that its actually a MAJOR part of why the spirtins within movie flopped. Nobody wanted this spirits within crap they wanted cloud, sephiroth, summons when they didn't get it they were pissed . They thought maybe we'll get a surprise... and they'll show up in the middle of the movie or something. Or maybe a character from one of the later really popular final fantasy games will show? Nope didn't happen lol.

AC-hade no plot, what was told we knew..Sold because of the name... STW did poorly because ppl said it was not FF.. IF it was just called TSW it would've done better..

AC told us nothing new, it was a way to make money.. FFVII is overrated..

FFVII the game- Square didn't even finish it they added parts, but didn't finish them and didn't finish half the events etc.. Because it would've ended up being like 6 disk, so they didn't take them out.. They left some unfinished..They was lazy.. Rushed it.. IT wasnt that great, it did good because of gfx and hade overrated Sehpy and Cloud in it hot guys and girls sell..

The fact is FFVII is overated its not that great..FFVII and FFVII fail as FFs..Fans of FFVII arnt going to say that.. FF is ment to have one tittle FFAC was way to make money, but anything with FFVII on the title it well sell.. FFIV-best plot.. FFVI- Great plot- FFIX one of my fav. Why don't they get spin offs? Why because there looking to make money.. FFVII will sell as long as FFVII is in the tittle..

FFVII in my eyes was overrated, before these spin offs..Its not the best RPG or FF..OMG Great gfx..sehpy is soooooooooooooooooooo cooooooooool
