Video PS4

Christmas is upon the corner and you may wonder what treat you could give to your beloved PS4. If you haven't played Trine 2 yet, then just don't hesitate and surrender to its Complete Story, which is an excellent co-op game (online and local) that is just as enjoyable on one's own. As we've always loved Frozenbyte's work, we couldn't resist showing you a bit more of the game. Here are 4 new 1080p/60fps videos featuring levels you probably haven't seen yet in such high quality. We've also added a bunch of screenshots (some taken with the Share function of the console, others from the raw video we captured) so we hope you'll appreciate the modest present.

now this is showing what the PS4 can do and don't take what i say as a joke, most high-end PC's struggle to get a good solid frame rate out of trine 2.

That right there is utter none-sense if it's meant to be taken seriously. Any mid-range PC (e.g. GTX 760 or similar) can easily run Trine 2 at 1080p 60 fps with max settings.

BTW guys "Trine 2 Complete Story" is 80% discounted on STEAM at the moment and going for £2.79. :)

Only if you pump the AA up, otherwise it runs like butter. My 680 can handle even max AA really smooth, so a modest PC can run this looking great At a buttery smooth framerate

try saying that to logan on tek syndicate, if you were to take a PC with equivalent specs as the consoles you'd be lucky to get 30 fps with AA turned off at 1920x1080, both the PS4 and XB1's graphics hardware does not compare to a GTX 760 so cut the crap, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGlnnMNuEHk

thing with me unlike you guys is i don't talk out of my ass, the video link was a video from back in august from an APU pc build, what makes it relevant is the APU part as that is essentially what is in the PS4/XB1, you can sugar coat your ignorance but fail as much as you like to prove me wrong and get a sub $400 PC to play trine 2 at max settings and still run at or close to 60 fps at max settings and 1920x1080.

is a quad core Intel i5 3570k with 8gb 2133mhz Corsair Dominator platinum ram an ASUS ROG Maximus V Gene Z77 mothoerboard an AMD R9 280X OC graphics card with 2 SSD's and a 120hz gaming monitor not high end!, i get around 70 fps at max settings at 1920x1080, again this counter argument is pathetic, you would need a PC costing at least double what the PS4 costs just to run trine 2 at 1920x1080 at 60 fps turning AA off is cheating when the PS4 blatantly has AA turned on so hows about you rerun trine 2 at max settings rather than minimum settings.

I don't think anyone is disputing that the PS4 is a powerful console, and imo the clearly sensible choice between it and the xbone. As a matter of fact I can't wait to see what guys like Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, etc all pull off with it. But to make an outlandish statement that it is comparable in capability to a high end PC is just plain stupid. There's a reason why high end graphics cards are not even benchmarked at 1080p anymore, 2560x1440 is the new minimum resolution they bench at now.
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7492/the-geforce-gtx...

As I simply said, a mid-range PC can easily run Trine 2 at 1080p with max settings and AA. So your statement about high end PCs struggling to run Trine 2 can only be taken as a joke. When it comes to affordability, that simply comes down to your financial situation. For me personally, I own a high end PC and will get a PS4 when Infamous and The Order get released.

So relax. Stop being so defensive about stupid things.
Oh, and Merry Christmas btw.

i don't know what your definition of mid range is but a PC costing over double what the PS4 costs that still struggles to hit 60 fps at 1920x1080 with max settings (Extreme FXAA + 4xSSAA) is nothing to boast about, im not talking about top end or enthusiast PC's im just talking about high end (low end = integrated motherboard graphics, mid range = integrated/discrete graphics ie APU/basic GPU '6670/GTX650, high end = FX 6 core/i5 CPU with dedicated discrete GPU '7850/GTX 660ti, top end FX 8 core/i7 7970/GTX680, enthusiast socket 2011 CPU 290X/780/titan/780ti).

does this make more sense now, oh and happy Xmass to you too.

@ r3tr0gam3r1337 Ok, i'll bite, and just so you know this will be my last comment.

By mid-range PC, I mean "Mid-range Gaming PC". You can't seriously expect a PC with on-board graphics to be considered a gaming PC, much less a mid-range one.lol you are just full of jokes.

Gaming PCs are expensive, and again, no-one denies that. You can't seriously compare a dedicated Gaming console to a PC(apples to oranges). You speak as if I struggle to understand what you are saying. No, I fully understand, I however do not think what you are saying makes any sort of sense.

this is mid-range http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphic... just as I said, and in the nicest possible way, I'd agree with Tom's definition of mid-range than yours any day of the week.

Stop being so defensive about stupid shit. ta

And to all a Happy New Year. :)

Thing is Korn, he wasn't stating an opinion, he made a wrong quantitative statement that most high end PCs struggle to run Trine2 at 1080p 60fps for which there is hard factual proof to the contrary.

I know I could have ignored him, but I chose not to on this occasion. The reason I also said that his definition of mid-range made no sense to me is that based on a strictly price/performance ratio(again something we can measure) it is more than evident what would be classed as high, mid and low end.

I mean if Nvidia themselves classify it as mid-range what more do you want? Here's Overclockers link to a GTX760, play the vid and hear how the Nvidia vendor describes the card http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prod...

Thing about me is, I seldom address topics like this due to the work it requires to get a simple fact across to someone else, it requires a lot of effort and I thought, hey it's Christmas I'll throw the guy a bone, but he just won't have it.lol

i was talking about high end PC's not high end gaming PC's and yes i was giving an opinion, i did not ask for someone to argue about it and then flop with their second to last comment *By mid-range PC, I mean "Mid-range Gaming PC".*.

if i was talking about gaming PC's then sure a mid range gaming PC may struggle to run trine 2 at max settings but maybe a fault on my part for not making it clear as to what PC type i was talking about either way it was my opinion not a fact so please do not tell others i was not sharing an opinion when i was.

any PC that has a GPU is a gaming PC, it does not have to be water cooled or overclocked, it does not have to have a dedicated GPU (discrete graphics card) as long as it can play games it's a gaming PC, you know what assumptions are don't you!, the mother of all **** ups.
