good job with the upload dj, but so far this game is a pass for me. the bosses are huge and unimpressive, they all look the same. that hydra boss battle was like a poor knock off of the God of War 1 hydra battle. nothing's wrong with games being inspired by others, but it needs to be done right. maybe after playing it for myself i might like it.
the presentation is pretty descent, but it feels a bit sterile.
i wonder if the story is any good?

This game seems like such a copy-cat! Truly lacks any sense or Originality whatsoever IMO

I agree Xion4360, it does seem to lack that. It looks fun tho, I'll at least Gamefly it.

Poor? God of War hydra was poor... knock two underlings, get to the top, use magic when the main head is attacking... repeat 4...5 times. Sloppy game design.

Eh? Game hasn't exactly come out yet, so there isn't much footage to make a informed opinion. But I forgot that this is the internet and informed opinions don't count for much.
Oh, and DJ, I have a question for once you beat the game: how replayable is the game?

@Jesuschrist; Why are you comparing Ninja Blade with Demon Souls? Demon Souls isn't even out and there is very little video footage knocking around, so to compare the 2 games is kinda stupid, don't you think? Plus both games are VERY different in-style. Wait until Feb 5th and I'll have some Demon Soul footage on the site.

@Tinks; I'm having a blast with the game it's just simply fun to play very easy pick up and play controls, it's not to overly complicated and it's not stupid hard. The QTE's are great too and highly entertaining to watch...the game is so over the top it's great! Doesn't take itself too seriously at all.

@Jackdoe; I haven't actually finished the game yet...so I don't know how much replay ability it has I guess just different ninja suits and emblems to collect, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm pretty close to finishing it and I reckon the total time taken to complete the game is 8 plus hours, which is perfect for me as I've got a family to look after too.

I wish people would stop asking this question. No Japanese games (released in Japan first) has ever been region free.

The more I see of this game, the less appealing it becomes. The animations are horrible to start with, the artstyle is truly dreadfull, especially from the main character. The gameplay (sans the QTE's) looks ok, but nothing all that exciting.

Graphics are ok, better than NG2's, but that's not saying much. The game has 'mediocre' written all over it.

Famitsu 360 gave it pretty good scores:
Ninja Blade 8997
Midnight Club 8888
Street Fighter IV 9988
Skate 2 7887
Shooting Love 7767
Star Ocean 4 9988
Sonic 8889
Chaos Head Noah 8879

On the other hand... Sonic got almost the same scores.

It's Famitsu 360 as I said, so it should be Unleashed.

That is sad
I used to think Famitsu were really tough with scores back in the day. Recently it has seemed that ended at some point

It's like, heavenly sword grew a pair of balls and turned into a ninja... and sucked less and had way better animation and screen-tearing.

If you can burn a download onto a disc then it will work fine on a Pal machine. Loads of us did this with the resident evil demo last month
