505 GAMES PLAYS GOD WITH MORPHX

29 March 2010, Milton Keynes – Global games publisher, 505 Games today announces the release of upcoming 3rd person action adventure, MorphX. Developed by Moscow based Buka Entertainment, MorphX will ask players to question their will to survive an alien invasion, as well as their own humanity, when it is unleashed on Xbox 360® on 21st May 2010.

In a world where humans are forced to scurry in the ruined subways and sewers of a futuristic Moscow devastated by attempted alien genocide, MorphX tells the story of the human resistance against their newly imposed masters. As well as guns, grenades and other more traditional weaponry, players will be able to absorb the DNA of fallen enemies to assimilate superior alien abilities and technologies, at the cost of their humanity.

“MorphX gives players the choice of remaining purely human or taking on some characteristics of the enemy for a very different gaming experience,” commented Ralph Pitt-Stanley, Commercial Director, 505 Games. “In other words, if you get tired of falling foul of a plasma projector claw, you can always opt to grow one of your own in retaliation!”

Played from a 3rd person perspective, the events of MorphX unfold in a fully realised 3D representation of the Russian capital, where players must fight through a demolished Red Square and on the steps of a battle scarred Kremlin. Boss battles will feature building-sized adversaries that will require as much wit as physical dexterity to overcome and emerge victorious.

MorphX will be published by 505 Games, exclusively for Xbox 360 on 21, May 2010.

Don't think its bad or in that shovelware area (game reminds me of The Suffering IP, wich is cool), far from it. Just that it should be a Digital Downloadable game so they can price it in a adequate way... this is no Resident Evil 5/Dead Space.

as long as it IS a budget title, then fine....but if they DARE release this even close to full price (like rebillion did with rogue warrior) then they need shooting.

judge the gameplay trailer, not the screens... how many times do people need to realise that screens mean jack shit.

God, the name sounds so retro.

I like it =D

Jesus fucking christ people, you can't assume a game will be terrible by looking at GODDAMN SCREENSHOTS.

Have you played it? Can you honestly say that it isn't? That seems like a big statement to be making based on the announcement and the first batch of screens.

production values?! Well ya, I can easly say that Buka Ent. (lol) with the same amount of deep pockets as EA/Capcom couldn't make something on that level of visual polish/quality.

I've defended games before, just like this, but this time I'd say it's pretty obviously bad. Feel free to call me on that when the game comes out and is the next big IP.

Look at it... It doesn't matter if screens/trailers are a bad way of judging it, you can still see it's not high quality. It looks like Prototype mixed with a bunch of other 3rd person games, so for me at least I'll be avoiding it.

screens are promotional shots to ...promote the game. If screens mean jack shit then the gameplay trailer should mean jack shit too..as it could control like piggy back ride off a crippled monkey for all we know.

We can only judge what has been placed infront of us sonny.

I've watched the trailer - it reminded me of shadowman for some reason. I'm STILL questioning my will to want to play it. Funny that

Moscow's the new black.

I guess this mean's we'll have to put up with listening to the american's pronounce Mos-cow everytime they promote the game.. two seperate words don't make a right damnit!

i hope it steals the quality of the first and not the crappyness of the second, while at it.

Stalker, Metro 2033 and Cryostasis are all full budget games from Russia, but whilst they were good they ultimately were flawed from the lack of polish and design.

Now we have another Russian game, what makes think they'd be on the level of RE5/DS?

I for one though love foreign games as they always have fresh ideas.

That PC footage looks pretty bad. I have to say though that between the PC and the 360 version, they at least made noticeable improvements to the character animations and the overall polish of the graphics.

Hard to say if the gameplay itself has improved though as the cuts in the 360 trailer are too quick.
