Zombie hoards, Headless fights and Teddy Bears!? I'm sold! The modifiers kinda remind me of the UMK3 thingies before matches began.

Now that's how you add replayability to a fighting game!

Wow. Looks like...Fun... I like that it remembers it's a game, and throws in a bunch of "just for the fun of it" stuff. THis is what is great about MK...

I hope they have Big Head modes too. Some old Midway arcade games had them. Plus they already have Headless mode here :)

looks like fun.

I dont like the stiff animations...
Some said that they move like this intendedly, but imo it kind of breaks fluent fighting.

The animation is certainly made to keep that "digitized" style of movement they had since the first. Has to be. At least that's what I tell myself, lol...

I don't see whats so stiff. Animations look better than fighters like DOA or Tekken.

I think they'll release HD version of that or another collection in late 2011. In this GDC demo ( http://gdc.gamespot.com/video/6302259/?hd=1 ), Ed Boon talks about MK's 20th anniversary in November and since MK9 will be out next month, they're probably going to release a collection / trilogy for that occasion.

...are you serous?

Anyway, yeah stuff like this is good if you just plan on sitting alone playing the game. I still prefer they jsut have a real damn tutorial and solid online mode :)

I just let that one go- statements like that demonstrate that any argument would be wasted. Chalk it up to opinion...

I actually agree on DOA. I don't understand why so many people hate MK's animations. They are not as perfect as Tekken or Soul Calibur's but they also no worse than DOA. MK did have some bad animations on PS2 but the new ones are way better than them and at least on par with most of current fighters.

It's not about how "smooth" they are (as in frames), but how they are positioned/posed that look stiff. There is no real fluidity, and they all seem to have an awkward center of balance. That said, for MK, it fits perfectly...

I see but then, DOA looks that way and so does the Virtua Fighter. Only Namco's fighters don't have such problems.

Yeah, many of the animations just look awkward and i think the transition between animations is jerky and somewhat bad looking. It's not horrible and it's what i expect so i'm not complaining, but don't even try comparing it to Tekken :)
