Here is a new video from Mortal Kombat which introduces Raiden. As a reminder, the game will be available next month while a demo will be released next week.
Seems to be the best MK game. Matches are a lot smoother and gameplay is a lot more interesting than previously. Also looks quite nice and runs really smoothly. Day 1.

It looks... bad.
If by bad you mean that graphics have a long way to go, i agree. It still is one of the prettiest brawlers there is though. Personally i think it looks awesome, taking all the awesomeness into consideration and this isn't coming from a fan of MK.
I thought my computer had broken down when I heard the sound at the beginning. It sounds just like a movie sounds seconds before your graphic card dies.

Until you see very low res pixelated effects, and you will be seeing it quite often here and there.
For example when you play with Scorpion and he does his winning pose then you can see it clearly how low res everything seem.
Its weird because most of the time its high res on everything.

I think it looks bad in more aspects than just graphics. Also, I bought and enjoyed Tekken 6, that alone should solidify the following statement; as long as the gameplay is good, I can oversee smudgy graphics. And you're right; graphics-wise, I've seen worse.
One thing I completely dislike are the animations. It looks like the developer is sacrificing way too much for having this distinct Mortal Kombat II look. Also, the gameplay itself looks so... static, limited, like it starts to feel tedious after a few dozen fights.
About this particular video, I dislike the fact that they're showing mostly character background story (which I, and most probably a fair share of fighting game enthusiasts, absolutely do not care about) and almost no fighting.
You make some good points typhoon, but, i think the intent of the storyline content is to tickle the nostalgia in previous mk fans. For me, fighting comes in 3 niches. 1: DOA 2:SF 3: MK. Each are their own unique flavor. DOA is for sophisticated beat down and jubling....i mean juggling. SF is just your super mash 2d funtime show. Mk: taps into the dark brutal side of fighting.
Showing lots of footage and bringing us a demo means they believe in this game , and so do i . will it be as good as SF4 ??? i think not , but this will be hopefully the return of MK series . to me this looks pretty ok as for graphics . Gimme the demo! And some extra cash for all those great games comin out .... No one? pfff :))
