Here is the latest trailer of Mortal Kombat X which deals with the game's story, taking place 25 years after the last MK. Also new characters revealed.

Man, character design is aweful in this game. It is so last gen.
Since when has design been a generational thing? Oh, and it probably looks a bit anchored in previous gen roots for the reason that the game is produced for previous gen consoles too, if you hadn't noticed. It still looks great regardless.
The playable character models does look light years better than the cut scene models. Strange. Thank goodness the actually playable models looks amazing.
They alwaya had great graphics in the MK games, well a few of the crappier ps2 ones aside, but they just dont know how to model characters. Look at Liu Kangs torso in MK9, or the faces in this trailer. Have to say, this is by far the best looking mk characer models so far though.
Gonna be interesting to see if theyve actually improved the gameplay, or if its just a copypaste of 9 (kinda like injustice).
I also don't like the models and their animation but I like the infusion of proper story into this. Hope the gameplay will compensate for all.
Also, wouldn't hurt to have Sonya in her MK1 costume.
Thank you NetherRealm for actually giving a crap about story. It's hard to tell this is a fighting game just based off that trailer. I wish Capcom would bring a decent narrative to Street Fighter.
