Images Xbox 360 PS3

Developped by Ninja Theory, Enslaved has just been announced by Namco-Bandai. Some might notice that the female character looks a lot like Nariko but considering the people in charge are indeed the makers of Heavenly Sword, it is no real wonder. Enslaved will be released some time next year on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
Update: Artwork added.

looks interesting and this time the chick doesn't look that much like Tera Patrick anymore ... impressed by the mouth 'n' teeth in the second picture, nicely modelled

The shadows, skin-detail and scratches on her in the last pic are also very appealing ...

Nice art.
The girl reminds meof Nariko, they should have added dark hair to her instead, the red makes her look very close to Nariko (not thats its bad).

Anyways, good news that action adventure games are being made more which is great!

Graphcally, and from the art, it reminds me a lot of the 2000AD comics from when I was a kid. Always was impressed by the work in those.

Anybody getting a Bionic Commando vibe from this? Without Sony signing the checks I'm not sure how much talent and polish the facial animations will have behind them. I'd like to see this in motion.

Valve and Bioware seemed to do okay without Sony signing their cheques.

If the lip-sync and animation is up to par with HS and the game lasts more than 4-5 hours, we should be in for a treat!

you're comparing the valve facial animation to the WETA animation in heavenly sword...lol

as for bioware, that isnt even in the same league, it's ok, but it isnt exactly lifelike now is it?

I still haven't seen a game this generation with human models that actually look real.

I've seen though, many animations that sometimes look real, like those of Heavenly Sword, and even some that are laughable like Heavy Rain (more animation =/=better animation).

But to people saying Heavinly Sword looked lifelike, well i kind of agree in regards to the animation, but even Nariko looked like a transvestite.

This game, well it's taken a step back in life-like visuals if compared to HS, but i think it's actually a step in the right direction.

Neither was HS life-like, so hardly a valid comment.

Half-life 2 Episode 2 in particular is very polished, very solid and excellent in terms of story, set pieces, locations and the like.

Sony aren't really in a financial position to be signing any cheques at the moment anyway, so makes next to no difference at all.

Nothing wrong with a new IP, I just think the SDF are bitter that big Ninja Theory games are now coming to the 'other' platform. Sad really, seeing as they are getting it too!

I think Crysis has the best facial animations so far.

Yeah, Crysis did have pretty good facial animations. I like Naughty Dog's stuff too. OH yeah, you don't have to have astronomical budgets- just people with the will and the talent. Personally, I think facial animation is one of the most overlooked, and most important things you can do to make a believable character. Half-life had good elements, but they didn't do enough. Heavenly sword was Great though...

reminds me of bionic commando as well, but only in terms of level art. I wasn't a big fan of HS so I'm not going to get too hopeful for this game.

No a big fan of the character design either.

Both Valve and Bioware's facial animation produce it on the fly. Compared to the practically prerendered animation of HS, it blows it out of the water technically.

Does remind me of bionic commando visually, which looked nice. But i think if its ninja theory - (thats who made heavenly sword right?) - they should keep their signature visual style. Cos that looked real nice in my opinion.

Girl character does look like nariko, maybe a little too much, gotta save something for heavenly sword 2 right?

Not feeling the dude, just dont look cool as yet. Early days tho.

Think they unify the whole jungle meet urban thing too. More trees wrapping and protruding from the buildings. Their clothes should reflect that they used to live in a city that is now a jungle. Yknow that self-modified look.
