PS3

Atari sent us these three images of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, scheduled for released this November exclusively on PS3. Very nice character models, especially the faces compared to the subpar ones of Ubisoft's 360 game, but it looks like Snoopers isn't going to eat a tree just yet.
Update: Added a few more images.

Don't know what it is about those screens, but the models look worse than they did in the trailer from a while back!

Looks fine to me. Same models, only not the 900xAA.

Reality.

At least I hope the high-quality Cell-Shade animation stays the same in the final game.

This sucks, life's a Bitch.

They're better than the 360 models thats for sure. on the subject of the 360 version, any news of a sequel? i wouldn't mind a shippuuden game.

I have Naruto for 360 I completely disagree that these look better. Maybe its because I have played it in HD and these are just screenshots. But I think this doesn't look half as crisp or detailed.

"Very nice character models, especially the faces compared to the subpar ones of Ubisoft's 360 game"

If I recall, Ubisoft didn't even implemented facial Mo-cap for the In-Game Part. Naruto would look just like a doll.
The game had that High n' low aspects to it.
A bigger n' better implemented Single-Player ( like said above... shippuuden, or just the direct continuation of the previous game story) , with more objectives variety and more depht to the combat, would be awesome.

Definitely needs more anti-aliasing, but I suppose the aliasing is something you get used to when you play a game. Still, the character models and the colouring is all spot on.

I agree with most of those above- this doesn't look good at all. What happened to the stunning- beyond anime quality shots we saw last month that were 'in-game'? These look really average- at best. Is it just the screenshots? Will it be amazing in motion/person? As for now... I think even the 360 version looked better than these.

Hopefully it's just the screen shots.

I'm also going to have to disagree and say the 360 version looked better than this as a whole. The character model's look crisper in this, but they don't look like they've jumped out of the anime like the 360 version did.
Also not too sure about the release date. November...competing with Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Banjo 3, Fable 2 etc... lol
Would have been much better releasing in the summer when the kid's are off school.

As for someone asking about a sequel to the 360 version, obviously it'll happen as they showed Itachi showing up. The question is whether they are going to wait for the series to finish in the US or just say to hell with it, skip the fillers and wrap the series up in the game how it should have been.

I have to say as well that the 360 version seems superior in all places except the faces as well. It had more of an anime feel than this one seems to give off. Granted, this one isnt done yet and im no fan of anime or naruto to begin with(despite living in japan, which apparently is blasphemy)

That aside, the game could still likely be very good. I think comparing it to the 360 version isnt exactly the best thing to do, let the game stand on its own.

360 certainly looks better from what I can see, too bad I couldn't care less because the 360 version played like absolute shit. This will without a doubt play a lot better.

The old 'shots' were bullshots for sure. People compared the trailer graphics to the bullshots, the bullshots were drawings, not even CG.

Is this one just a fighting game? I prefer the concept of the 360 one. My friend owns the game, I don't, but I played a little of it, seemed OK.

I like the way the hair of the characters look in this game. They are close to the original art style than Rise of Ninja that way.
Too bad that there is so much aliasing it harms the cell shading look.

Well I don’t care about Naruto fighting games… it’s just that cell shading is improving.

I here that. I skipped the first one cause I'm tired of playing the same story arch over and over.

Don't think so. ( the leaf village in the begining )
The fighting in this game seems more 3D and open, like the PS2 DBZ Games, than the 2D Style game from the Rise of a Ninja.

I'm sure this game could end up looking better, considering the fact that it's focused on Fighting Only and doesn't have an adventure mode like the Xbox 360 version... but currently, I don't see where the claims of this looking better at its current state come from. What I see here is washed out environments and quite a lot of aliasing.

Not really an specially eye catching game at the moment.

I thought this game also had an adventure and exploring aspect?

A way better cell-shade animation & much much better gfx.
And i don't see why it won't have exploration. It's confirmed to have 100 missions. it isn't, probably, a Village HUB-Like game with sidequest, but I guess it should have some kind of depth/exploration to it's missions.

Overall I think this still looks fine, but I'm not impressed by the cell shading engine on display here. It looks fuddly at best. Hell, even the old JetSetradio or Capcoms Viewtifull Joe has better cellshading. And not even close to being on par with Eternal Sonata or Naruto on X360.

Other than that it looks great. Seems to have a lot of character. And maybe the cell shader looks fine in motion. We'll see...
