I have this on pre-order. Got the first game as a warm up, and to familiarize myself with it. Its definitely a fun game but there is a lack of variety that this game really looks to remedy. It has many more characters, stages, and functions more as I would like a fighting game to function (Like a character and stage select screen with icons instead of rotating wheel) its a small thing I know, but I think its an improvement. It also appears to have much more, and varied boss battles. Its basically more of what was good about the first game, with hopefully a bit less repetition in the Ultimate Mission mode. In any case, Its a lot of fun for Naruto fans, as well as a good casual fighting game with pretty cel-shaded graphics.... very pretty

Also, Having a game made by such huge Naruto geeks is probably a good thing lol

You guys always forget to Include Shippuden in the title.

Yeah, i got it pre-ordered too. Ive been playing the last game more lately. Too bad about the ougi being shorten in Storm 2. Yep, mission variety this time seems to be set to be the biggest improvement so im excited about it but at the end of the day multi player is where most of fans of the game will spend their time and with plenty of characters to play with, im ready.:)

Fighting games share the same problem as sports games (resolves the issue with RPG traits), which is that they need to remedy the inevitable tedium of playing the same mechanics over and over. NUNS 1 definitely didn't remedy this and neither does NUNS 2 seem to. Also NUNS 1 looks amazing but considering that was its main draw it would have been nice if we saw some graphical enhancements, current footage unfortunately does little to alleviate my complaints. A fully realised story or a more RPG focused game could make all my worries redundant but if the format is similar to the NUNS 1 then my fears will be facts.

This IS a fighting game at heart, and if thats not what you are into, then thats more of a personal issue than one for the game.

Far from it, I love NUNS 1 (still have it) but it was a well known criticism that it got repetitive a complaint never made towards Street Fighter 4 (SF4) and why because its fighting system has a lot more depth and don't misinterpret me SF4 is there if I want that experience but I have it what I want is for NUNS 2 to deliver the best experience it can and they partially answered the worries with more set pieces now they need to deliver a more story driven game or some sense of progression that is repetitive otherwise the critique world will not overlook it this time.

The problem with repetition in the first game came because you were constantly doing the same mindless minigames like tree climbing and hide and seek as part of the mission mode. I dont think anyone felt it what repetitive from a lack of depth in the fighting system, or at least, i dont think that was anyones main issue.
