Nah it isn't racism :P Just a lot easier to distinguish highlights and detail on darker skintone.

It's to do with the translucency skin. Think of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and how some characters seemed more real than others... they were black, or old! In cg terms it's to do with "subsurface scattering" that none of the game systems can do realtime, so the black characters (or aged) look a lot more believable by default because the skin doesn't have the translucency characteristics.

typical ea bullshots from angles you will never see while playing the game.

and i know that first pic of gilbert has been around for ages. that is like one of the first pics I ever saw of this game.

Yes, basically that is what I'm saying. The lack of horsepower needed for realtime subsurface scatter computations is really plot to keep white people looking plasticky and unrealistic! Death by uncanny valley! Viva la melanin!

not bullshots, these are fully ingame, just replay angles and stuff, bullshots are fake screenshots

Wow, pretty nice details. Check out the third screen with LB, you can see Coach Brown in the background. Even if it's blurry, you can make him out pretty good. To bad the gameplay won't be anything close to 2K8.

Wonderful amount of detail. Only problem is everyone looks like they have been stung by bees and are swelling in the facial region.
