Valve released a new batch of Left 4 Dead 2 images for the Comic Con, these one showing a rather murky swamp level.

Additions look cool but I'm still mad.

VALVE ROCKS
The difference between graphics today and back when the Source engine was new are not as great as the leap between 2000 and 2004. I really don't think Valve will need a new engine until Crysis-level graphics become mainstream; and that's probably not going to be for a while.
The biggest advantage of the Source engine is how optimized it is. I can run that kid on my Macbook Pro with a big resolution and a great framerate, without having to sacrifice any of the neat effects. I really think Valve have the right idea with that.
COD4 has a really great engine, too.
