Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

NBA 2K12 is getting a brand new trailer today. Last year's edition was pretty impressive and many thought it would be hard to do much better. According to those who saw the game at GC, it could very well be the case.

I don't even care about basket ball, but damn, that's impressive. Best animation ever. It's got Gran Turismo moments were you think it's real for a second...

I'm not a hardcore basketball fan either but I do buy this game every year and have no regrets !

But I have to be honest and say I was not sure whether to get it this year too but this trailer sure left a very good impression.

I love the effort they put into improving every year. Other sports franchises still don't get it "cough" Madden.

Not a fan of basketball but that is one awesome trailer! The graphics and animation are second to none in the sports genre. These guys should make a Football game, it would be immense!

I'd go as far as to say it's got the best animation and transitions of ANY game in ANY genre- just stunning. Can you imagine a 3rd person shooter with that much attention paid to movement? Granted it's all on a flat surface, but they could just put in modifiers...

Sports games always look good tho. Like that MLB the show. Couldnt be any less interested by it, but man it looks and animates nice. The soft cloth physics helps a lot.

Yeah, that game is stunning. I'd like to see some of those graphic features used that well in other genres...

Aye. One of the first games i saw that was "next gen" was a basketball game, and even back then, as a launch title, it had soft cloth physics and i just assumed every game would have that tech. But aside from some long coats in some shooters, you dont see it outside of sports games. Maybe next gen?

Agreed, i cant for the life of me detect where the animation transitions start and stop. Everything just looks incredibly fluid and life like!

If you look hard enough you can. Especially in the slo-mo sections of the video. They are damn impressive tho.

Those vintage color filters they've used in the historic games are a nice touch too. I'm hoping that's not just an effect used for the trailer, but can actually be used in the game itself for those magic johnson, jordan matchups.
