Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

Adapted from the movie adapted from the video game, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands should be released during the second quarter of 2010 and should feature similar gameplay mechanics than the Sands of Time trilogy. If going back to the previous game's atmosphere certainly is appealing, one can't but wonder if adapting the movie really is that great an idea. Until we know more about the game, here is the first trailer.

I loved the sands of time games so I'm personally quite excited about this game, as I always wanted a next gen version of sands of time. The only thing that has me worried is if the game ends up being rushed to meet the movie tie-in deal. Movie tie-ins obviously have a bad rep for a reason.

It's not a movie tie-in.

same...

i really enjoyed the 2008 prince of persia..the prince was funny and the gameplay was awesome..not to mention the story was beautiful

i hate how ubisoft is going back to the sands of time stories, the trilogy ended so well, why would they muck about making another game in the same universe.. clearly this is bring in new gamers and tie it with the movie (yeah yeah it's not a movie tie in..but it will be released the same time)

come on ubisoft..continue the prince and elika's story!

This looks dreadful, absolutely dreadful. Ubi really seemed to be on the right track with the last POP reboot, they just had some combat issues to fix. When then they felt the need to reboot again with something so ugly and generic looking boggles the mind. I hope it flops.

Even though some people liked the new (2008) pop game... I had a gut feeling since the start of this gen that this franchise needs to be put to rest.

To me, the 2008 game always felt like a european ethnic byzantine myth instead of a classic middle-eastern epic. There goes that, but this upcoming game... it makes pop a poop!
This is going to give a real bad name to the spectacular Sands of Time original.

by god, i can't seem to comprehend why every one's upset about this, this is awesome! It doesn't even look like it's about the movie, it' called the "forgotten sands" not the sands of time.
This is gonna rock!
