It kinda reminds me of Burnout but here's hope that it will be something unique when it's finished.

Oh Dear! Looks like they are going to get this one really, really wrong. If we wanted burnout or split seciond we would buy it. We want ridge racer. No explosions, just really fun arcade racing with bright colours.

This is outsourced to the people who made Flatout. The people who make Ridge Racer are nowhere near this. Hope this fails so we can see a real Ridge Racer sequel somewhere down the line, because this looks horrible.

Its sad that this game was outsourced over instead of staying the PlayStation exclusive it once was, it would have been awesome if the Japanese Namco team would have made it for PS3 and 3d 1080p 60fps

RIP Ridge Racer

This looks awful, even if it WERE a sequel to Flatout (which it obviously is).

Weird, I actually thought it looks really fun. I thought the flatout games were pretty good arcade racers with good handling and physics.

I can understand the complaint if you are huge fan of Ridge Racer, although I never saw the appeal. The series just felt dated 10 years ago to me. It is weird that they decided to use the RR license for a game that has nothing other than racing in common with the franchise though. They should just call this FO3.

Problem with that is, it doesn't really look like a Flatout game either... yet.
Now, if we can drive beat up jalopies down a farm road tearing each other apart piece by piece, we might be getting there.

Obviously this game is going to need some kind of focus on drifting in order for it to be in the realm of a RR game.

I'd love a new Flatout, I'd love a new "old-school" Burnout, I don't care for any new NFS Underground, I'd like a new Ridge Racer. I hope it'll be in the middle of the first two. Too bad about the title/license though, lot's of expectations.
