Oh wow, another amazing game. It's going to be a real tough one choosing between this or Aliens.

This.

Only fear is the lost of the humor/fun from the original concept trailer. Really hope they show more story to put my fears to rest.

I dunno, as far as cover based shooters go, it seems pretty cool. It's rare you see co-op games offer genuine, core differences between characters. It reminds me of brute force for the original xbox, complete with real time character switching. A game that got far too much flack for the time. It may look as visually uninteresting as it gets, and doesn't seem to have any sort of stylistic identity, but the more i see, the more i think the gameplay looks fun.

Both have been done for death...however we all know that sci fi is for geeks and it's just one thing i've never been even though gaming is geeky.

At least no Bleh!-textures like in DS3, but i'm pretty sure these are subject to change (to make sure they fit into the PS3's video ram). That mech looks friggin cool btw.

if they're double geek that would suggest they'd still be geeks even if they don't like sci-fi?

you're a geek, just accept it. the insecurity just makes you look like a nob. lol

I hate to jump on the forum-fighter's bandwagon, but this was far more interesting before they revamped the look to go all dudebro-meets-Uncharted. Now, it's just Captain Generica shooter.

Shame.

Here's hoping the gameplay's interesting.
(and I'd play 100 generic sci-fi games, before I put money into another military shooter)

Call it "geeky" all you want, but sci fi has been proven to be a MUCH more creative and unique direction in general than any modern type of shooter, and thats a fact.

Also, "geeky" doesnt mean shit these days when it comes to games and if you like sci fi, fantasy movies/games since you can be a casual and enjoy this type of stuff as well.

I wouldn't consider myself a geek in comparison to some of my friends that also play games. I put being a geek more down to how much further you invest into an interest, to an almost obsessive level usually. Someone that plays Halo games and also reads the Halo books for example I wouldn't class as a geek, but would if they went out of their way to collect every last associated merchandise. I also really enjoy building Lego which I imagine people think is a bit geeky but I'm just someone that enjoys that so wouldn't

I suppose it's people that are heavily invested beyond the norm then

Just playing games is defo not enough to be geeky these days unless it's World Of Warcraft, However i'd say buying Halo comics and playing Halo is most certainly geeky ;)
