Trailer PS4

As promised, here is the new trailer for DriveClub in a better than Youtube quality. The bitrate is not as high as what we use to share but that should do it until more media comes before the release of the title on October 8th.
Credits to Dualshockers for the find.

The graphics look insane but I wish they would've went with 720p60... currently there's no sense of speed

I am in awe of those landscape shots. Absolutely stunning visuals. Some shots at dawn really are almost photo-realistic. Some of the better lightning effects ever seen in a game if you ask me.

What car models are you looking at? The definition is fantastic and so are the reflections and lighting. These look on better than forza's studio models and without all the aliasing.

Hmm. I am suddenly interested in this game. Some of the lighting was pretty impressive, and that's what this new generation really needs.

I feel like there is something missing with the graphics in this game, but I can't put my finger on it. It's all high res & can look quite nice but it doesn't "pop" or something. There's no sense of weight or texture or hard surfaces.

meh, I am not super interest anyway.

This game is odd, You have the devs who talk very little on how it plays and more about menu's then it looks amazing in trailers and screens but those that have played it always comment on the graphics not being that good.

Any build that anybody has played has been very old. The last time the game appeared playable was some months ago. And even at that time the builds were considered old. Evolution always admitted to their playable builds being quite far behind their current state of development.

There's still no reason to believe that it looks any better other than assuming they have made progress. And it's worth stating that the playable stuff I've seen in the past never looked ANYWHERE near as good as the media they were showing off to the internet, so if that trend continues, it's hard to believe this stuff (which does look great).

I'm simply going under the assumption that they're not straight up lying with the disclaimer before the video. And it seems totally likely for a game to be shown at shows, get a not exactly positive reception especially around the visuals, then the game is delayed for months and comes out looking better. Doesn't seem all to shocking of a sequence of events to me. Especially since they are no longer targeting 60fps. Which is a very major change that would allow for a huge fidelity bump.

Interesting........still would of liked 60fps rather than 30fps, but we shall see how the game feels and plays before coming to a conclusion :)

Yeah I would prefer 60. Simply because being primarily a PC player, it's just what I'm most used to. But I also don't loath 30 as long as it isn't stuttery like that last NFS was before they patched it. At the end of the day as long as the gameplay is smooth I'll be happy. And assuming the game turns out looking this good so close to launch I'll deal ;)

I loved the motorstorm series, i hope this is as good in its genre since its the same company who makes it. Wished too for 60fps, but scenery looks beautiful, so i guess they had to compromise.

I don't think that the fps is thaaaaaat important for a racer. It's not a pure sim, it's a hybrid like PGR. Also, even NFS Rivals gives you great sense of speed with just 30fps because the actual engine is quite fast (no, it's not just the motion blur). Older Forza titles always had their 60fps but the sense of speed was nothing compared to most other racers. Even GRID was a faster game.

Agreed. 60 fps is nice, but I've never really thought it changed much. Games like NFS give great sense of speed. As long as it's smooth, it's fine for me. Much rather have 30 fps and better graphics than 60 fps and inconsistent graphics. Forza should have sacrificed a bit of framerate for some of their crappy environmental details.
